To say that David and Frankie's relationship had changed would be an understatement.
After that night, David and Frankie were quickly becoming a friendship outside the vlog squad circle, and everyone caught on.
Were the two sneakily stealing kisses every now and then? Yes.
But no one knew, and for some reason, it was an unspoken agreement between the two not to say anything.
David nor Frankie was embarrassed to be around each other, no that wasn't it.
This had everything to do with Jason Nash.
After that night, Jason found David and Frankie on the couch the next day after Frankie wouldn't answer any of his phone calls.
And after that night, he did not hesitate to give David an extra intense cold shoulder and Frankie a talk.
"Listen, Frank" Jason began, while Frankie sat on her bed, wearing the clickbait sweatshirt that she took back home with her "It's not that I don't want you around David, I do. I like that you're friends with him. But you get that as your father I'm always gonna worry about you, right?" Jason said and Frankie nodded.
"Of course," She said and after that, and a rough 48 hours of Jason ignoring David, they had both unspokenly decided that figuring out their feelings without getting other vlog squad members, especially Jason would make it easier.
The only person that truly knew anything was Natalie, but that was only because she walked in on David standing in between Frankie who was sat on the kitchen island, mid makeout when they thought Natalie wasn't home.
They were wrong.
With each passing day, the more he learned about Frankie the more he liked her. He liked that she also grew up playing tennis, and how she could talk nonstop about her favorite places to visit in London, promising to take him with her even though DACA loomed on him like a plague. He liked how passionate she was about her music, and how she always seemed to be writing down songs and melodies in her free time. He liked the way she moved and the way she made a judgemental face, even if she wasn't judging, claiming it was just her face. He liked how humble she was, despite the fame which was arguably growing fast for the twenty-one-year-old girl. He likes the way her hair always smelled like vanilla, and he liked the way she always seemed to wear colors, even though David hated them on himself.
Frankie, without wanting to admit it, had a little bit of a harder time getting David through her walls. It wasn't because she didn't like David, because she did, but she often felt that people used her, especially for her growing fame but after she realized that David was on the same boat, she wanted to know him more and more.
So they did exactly that, and usually when Jason did errands like take Wyatt and charlie to school, David would come over and they would hang out, or go get food or go film bits, or whatever else they wanted to do, but today, after complaints from her two best friends that they hadn't seen her in years, when it was only four days, made her go to lunch with them.
So Frankie was sat across from her two goofballs best friends at Chili's while they tried to grill her about David.
"So there's nothing going on with you and David?" Zane pressed and Frankie shook her head for what felt like the thousandth time. She hated lying to her friends but the last thing she needed was her dad to find out before she and David could actually sit down and figure out how to tell Jason that they were kind of dating, kind of seeing each other, without him blowing a building up.
"Yes Zane, there's nothing going on with me and David" Frankie finalized before standing up from her seat "Now, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Don't worry, David isn't in there" Frankie half teased, have said in annoyance before walking away.
Zane and Matt admittedly felt a little bad for pushing the girl, but she should've known that they could be trusted with Frankie's deepest secrets, even if one of them had to do with their close friend.
"You think she's actually mad?" Matt asked and Zane shook his head. Frankie was never truly upset at anyone, she had gotten that gene from Jason. They were both good at pretending to be annoyed, but never actually mad at anyone.
At that moment, Frankie's phone that she had left on the table dinged and Matt's eyes moved to look at the notification, fully knowing he shouldn't.
"Holy mother of God" Matt let out dramatically to which Zane's eyes widened.
"What?" Zane asked, leaning over to see the texts, his eyes becoming the sizes of saucers because right there, on Frankie Nash Stella's phone was a text message from David Dobrik himself.
"Can't wait to see you tonight, beautiful" it read, and before they could say anything, they saw Frankie coming back, taking a photo with a fan before sitting down with a smile on her face.
Zane and Matt tried their absolute hardest to look normal and act normal but they were both thinking the same thing.
They were gonna bust the two lovebirds like there was no tomorrow.
