Alessandro's POV

"Don't worry. We are fine....The doctor gave me another medicine. It helped better." She said softly.

"Good. But if you need something, tell Derek. And keep me informed about your state. I know you don't want to worry me when I am away from you, but please, don't hide when you feel bad." I said firmly.

"Alright. Don't worry. I will tell you if I feel bad." She said silkily. "And you? How are you? Your voice sounds tired." She asked, concerned.

"Yeah. I couldn't sleep properly." I replied. I hadn't left the hospital since I arrived in Italy. I was staying here with my mother. She hadn't left the hospital as well. As much as I tried to convince her that she went home and got some rest, she refused.

As the doctor left the room, I straightened and said quickly. "Bella mia, I have to hang up. The doctor left the room."

"Okay. Call me as soon as he tells you how your father is." She said.

"Bye." I said and hung up quickly as I approached the doctor.

"How is my father?" I asked, worried.

"His condition is stable now. We just need to wait for him to open his eyes." The doctor informed and gave us a warm smile.

"Thank God." I mumbled, breathing deeply in relief as I closed my eyes.

"He is fine, Alessandro. He didn't leave us. He is fine." My mother commented happily while crying.

"Yes, Mom." I said, smiling and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back.

After sending a message to Isabella, I went to the cafeteria to buy something to eat for my mother; she hadn't eaten anything since I arrived.

"Thank you." My mother said as she finished her toast.

"You are welcome." I gave her a warm smile. "How are you?" I asked.

"I got better as soon as the doctor said that your father was fine." She replied as she placed her hand on my thigh, giving me a reassuring smile. "And you? You look tired. You haven't slept properly since your arrival." She commented, concerned.

"Mom, I am fine. Don't worry." I gave her a reassuring smile and squeezed her hand. I cleared my throat and asked. "What happened? Why did my father have a heart attack?"

"I don't know. His driver told me something happened in the company then Federico felt bad. So he brought your father to the hospital. Actually, he didn't know what really happened either. He just heard Federico's conversation on the phone in the car." My mother replied. I looked at her, puzzled and rubbed my forehead, thinking.

Isabella's POV

I covered my mouth with my hand as I rushed into the bathroom. My morning sickness was getting worse day by day. Yesterday, I fainted at university. I didn't tell Alessandro about it; I didn't want to worry him, but my bodyguard informed him. So he pursued me to go to the doctor as much as I told him that it was normal in pregnancy. I had a doctor appointment today.

After vomiting, I washed my face. When I looked at myself in the mirror, my face was pale. I pursed my lips together, placing my hand on my stomach as I felt a slight pain in my stomach.

Once I got ready, I grabbed my bag and left. Derek opened the door for me as I approached the car.

I adjusted my clothes as the doctor finished checking me up. Then I sat down on the vacant seat next to her desk while she was checking my test results.

"I had been feeling slight pains in my stomach the last few days. Is it normal?" I asked, worried.

She lifted her head as she sighed. Her face was serious.

"Mrs. De Luca, I don't want to worry you, but you have a risky pregnancy. You should take care of yourself better. Lie as much as possible, get hydrated and stay away from stress. You should be more careful in your first trimester." She informed me with a serious expression. I placed my hand on my belly protectively as I listened to her, frightened. "But don't worry. If you follow my introductions, everything will be good." She added, giving me a reassuring smile.

"Yes, I will." I said instantly and nodded, biting my lower lip, but I still felt worried about my baby.

"Keep me informed about your state. If you feel any pain or anything, immediately call me." The doctor said firmly.

"Yes I will. But I am going to Italy in a month as soon as I graduate." I informed.

"No. You can't." She stated firmly.

"What?" I asked, concerned.

"I don't recommend flying during your first trimester. It will be so risky.....You can have a miscarriage." She declared.

I gulped in fear as I pressed my hand against my stomach while staring at the doctor.

I was leaning against the headboard, stroking my belly, lost in my thoughts while laying on the bed. I couldn't stop myself from thinking what the doctor said. As much as she assured me that if I was careful, nothing would happen to my baby, but I still felt scared.

I sighed and grabbed my phone. I decided to call Alessandro. Now I needed to hear his voice as well as ask about his father's condition. But I would not tell him about what the doctor said. I didn't want to worry him while he had already had a lot of problems. I knew he felt desperate, because he had to leave me alone in my state. He had called me a few times every day, checking how I felt. If I told him that there was some risk for our baby, he would feel worse and accuse himself of leaving me alone as much as he was forced to leave the country.

"Hey, Ale. How is your father?" I asked, concerned as he picked up his phone.

"Hi. The doctor is checking him." He replied with a tired voice. "How are you? Is your morning sickness still bad? What did the doctor tell?" He asked, concerned.
