Cornelius flew to a flower garden with Thumbelina not to far away from the palace.
Cornelius said," Thumbelina there's something I have to tell you."
Thumbelina said," Yes Cornelius."
He said," You know my parents are wanting me to get married soon. Right?"
She said," Yeah. I saw on the invitation."
She walked away. He ran after her.
He said," What's wrong?"
She looked down, she started crying a little.
He said," Oh Thumbelina don't cry. Come here."
He wiped away her tears and hugged her trying to cheer her up. She mumbled trying tell him why she was upset. He looked down at her.
He said," What did you say Thumbelina?"
She wiped her tears away.
She said," I said that who would want to be with me since I have no wings. People always treated me differently because of that. And who will love me for me."
He said," Thumbelina I was trying to tell you something before you started crying. It's that I am really starting to like you."
She said," Wait What?"
He said," It's true. I see more to you."
She said," Really?"
He said," Really. I like you Thumbelina. Be mine please?"
She smiled
She said," I will."
He said," It's getting late."
She grabbed his hand.
She said," Cornelius can we go for a quick ride before I go home."
He said," Anything for you my flower."
She said," Aww."
They flew around the town for a while. After that, he flew her home. They landed on her door step.
She said," Cornelius I had a lot of fun tonight."
He said," I know same."
He rubbed her cheek.
He said," I really am falling for you my flower."
She said," Oh Cornelius."
He kissed her hand.
He said," See you tomorrow my flower. I promise."
He flew back to his palace. Thumbelina was so happy.
She said," I can't believe I have a boyfriend. Well a fairy boyfriend hehe."
She went in her house to rest. Cornelius looked at his necklace.
He said," Oh Thumbelina."
