I was on top of a building, smoking a cigarette admiring the view of New York. I would always go to that spot in my free time, I liked it up there, the view of the city got my mind off things. The sunset was real nice up there.

It was a cold day and up there it was freezing. I didn't have my jacket so I just prayed I didn't die from hypothermia.

As I sat on the edge of the building smoking my cigarette, I felt a cold breath on the back of my neck. I didn't think much of it, I thought it was the cold breeze so I didn't turn around.

"I see someone's found my secret spot huh" a voice said, making me jump.

I turned around to see the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen. Brownish, brunette hair and cold brown eyes. He had a grin on his face as he looked me up and down.

"Your spot? What do you mean your spot? I come here all the time and haven't seen you here once" I said taking another drag of my cigarette, blowing it into his face.

"You must be new" he said still grinning at me.

I looked him up and down for a second.

"No actually, I've been living here for 2 years" I said looking back at the view of the city.

He quickly took my cigarette, taking a drag out of it as he blowed it right into my face, mocking me from before. God was he hot though!

I couldn't help but to grin back at him.

"Anyways what's your name?" He asked me.

"Y/n Mathews" I said steeling the cigarette from him.

"Mathews?" He said confused.

"Yeah" I said cocking a eyebrow back at him.

"Wait like Two-bit Mathews?"

"Yeah! Two-bits my cousin, you know him?"

"Me and Two are good friends back in Tulsa."

"How is he? Is he ok? How's his mom? Does he have a job-" before I could finish he cut me off.

"Woah doll relax, he's fine" he said as I smiled and blushed.

"Hey anyway what's your name?" I said, but before he could answer he got cut off.

"Get off my building you bastards!" Some old guy came running out shouting, we both quickly got up and ran out of there laughing.

When we got away we stopped for some air, as I looked down I saw that we were holding hands. I quickly let go and blushed as he grinned.

"Anyways I should probably go it's getting late and I got work tomorrow" I said trying to break the awkward silence.

"Alright doll, I know I'll see you again" he said winking at me.

Walking home I only had one thing on my mind, the mystery boy I met on top of a building. I felt so stupid not getting his name, I mean what happened if I never saw him again?
