*Annabeth's POV*

Panic.
That's all I felt.

It was the second to last scene.
The first time Percy and I have to kiss.
Mr. Apollo let us do a stage kiss the past few times we've practiced the kiss scenes, but, he said we had to kiss for real during the actual play.

Not only that.
There's the one kiss when The Beast is about to die.
Then there's the kiss at the very end, the part just before the curtains close.

That means Percy and I have to kiss twice!

Percy and I went through the scene, perfectly fine.
Except I wasn't fine! I was literally panicking!

I felt the forced tears fall down my cheeks.
The Beast was dead now, the last petal had fallen, there was no happy ending.

(A/N: I know this isn't exact, it isn't supposed to be. It's supposed to be a little off. They adapted the movie a little bit. (Basically, I was being lazy) So, yeah.)

"Please!" I cried out.
"Y-you succeeded. You found love!" More tears fell down my cheeks.
"Please," I whispered 'Desperately'.
I took in a breath and placed my hands on Percy's face.
Stroking his cheek softly, I leaned down.

'Don't panic.' I took another breath and leaned down farther.
I placed my lips on his.
He didn't respond.
He wasn't supposed to.

I pulled away, letting a sob escape my lips.
Percy didn't move, and Belle had noticed how he hadn't.

"Please," I whispered once more.

I light blinded me, and a melodic laugh filled the theater.
"I'm surprised. A beautiful young lady like you, loves this beast of a man? Well, he did succeed. I suppose my curse should be worn by now. Good luck, young lady." The voice spoke.

A lady stood there, it was the Witch who cursed The Beast.

"W-what?" I asked.
Before I got an answer, the light shined again, and the lady disappeared when the light faded.

*Gasp*
Percy shot up, banging his head against mine.
"Ah! What?!" The light served the purpose of letting Percy get into his Prince costume, and out of his Beast costume.

"Oh, God!" I exclaimed, jumping forward to wrap my arms around his neck.
"You jerk," I mumbled into his skin.
"What-What happened?" He whispered.

This went on and on until the end of the scene.
Percy and I rushed backstage to change.

"You did great," Percy told me, walking out of his changing room.
I smoothed out the dress I was in.
"Thanks. You did great too." I whispered.
"Thanks." He smiled at me, both of us walking to the right side entrance of the stage.

Our cue came and we were on.

~

"Congratulations to our Prince!! He found his Princess, and everything is once as it was before!!" Someone screamed as Percy and I walked out onto the stage.

Percy pulled me close and smiled a bright smile.
"Thank you for teaching me to love again." He whispered.
"Any time," I whispered back, leaning forward.
This time, when we kissed, he responded.

We pulled apart, a little out of breath, and a smile appeared on my face involuntarily.

The curtain closed as applause sounded.
Every person in the play lined up on stage, Percy and I in the middle, and we all connected hands.

The curtain opened once again and we all took a bow.
Before I knew it, everyone in the line had moved to the side of the stage and Percy pulled us closer to downstage center.

I looked around in confusion as people smiled at me.

Percy caught my attention by grabbing my hands.
I looked at him in surprise, heat rising to my cheeks.

"Annabeth, I met you when I was 6 years old. I started to like you when I was 8. I knew I was in love with you when I was 9, but I finally understood and accepted it when we were 11. I really like you, Annabeth. So, will you go on a date with me?" Percy asked me.

I blinked, surprised.
"Um, I- Yes." I breathed out.
He smiled cheekily.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" He asked, a lopsided smirk appearing on his face.
"Yes, you idiot!" I exclaimed, slapping his chest.
He smirked, grabbing my chin.
"Great." He breathed, leaning in to kiss me.

You know.
Love is such a great feeling.

Way better than Panic.
