Shreya's POV-

The next morning, Anika called and informed me that she has asked Vaibhav sir to give Adya and me a holiday and he agreed so now we were going to buy the wedding lehenga with the aunties, including my mumma.

" Mumma, in the evening....." I started.

" You are going to Kabir's annual charity ball." Virat bhai completed for me.

" How do you know?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.

" Because he called me to ask before he called you." He said while eating his breakfast.

" Oh." Was my reply. That's why he was so sure that I will have to go with him even if I had said no.

" You all won't come?" I asked.

" No Shreya, we are going to a wedding in the evening." Mumma replied.

I nodded.

" Let's go. Anika and Adya will meet us there." I said and we took Virat bhai's car as mine was still not repaired.

We reached in an hour. Anika was already there along with her mumma and mother in law. Adya was yet to come.

We went inside and all the mothers were busy in some discussion over the colour of lehenga and Anika and I were exploring the store.

As Adya reached, we got into a heated argument with the mothers. Anika was quiet.

" Pastel colours." I announced.

" Bridal red." Anika's mom said.

" Come on aunty. Who wears red now?" I asked.

" Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor etc. etc. etc." Mumma replied.

She was right.

" But aunty....." Adya started but was interrupted.

" Let's see and then decide?" Anika talked sense.

We nodded and started having a look.

Finally, a red lehenga was decided. What else? You thought that our mothers will let go of their choice for us? No sir!

We all decided to leave.

" Bui....there is a dress in your room." Janu said as we entered the house.

" Who got it darling?" I asked her.

" A man. He asked chachi to give it to you." She replied.

I nodded and went to my room. I was sure that it was sent by Kabir.

" Shreya, will you please go to the medical store and get my vitamins? I completely forgot." Riya bhabhi asked.

" Obvi bhabhz." I said and took my car keys.

Within half an hour, I was back home and handed the meds to bhabhi.

" Shreya now go and get ready quickly. We are leaving for the wedding in 20 minutes and Kabir will pick you up at 6." Khyati Bhabhi said.

I nodded and went to my room.

" I am not doing make up." I spoke to myself.

As I looked at the dress, I was spellbound.

" This man has such a fine taste in dresses." I exclaimed without realizing what I said.

" Did you just compliment me Shreya?" I heard a voice, his voice. Turning around, I could spot no one.
