Chapter 5

Zoe's POV

I wake up to the buzz of my phone. The Caller ID said 'Ethan.'

I pick and say, "hey!"

"Hey Zoe, how's your head?"

"Much better, the doctors said that I can go to school today!" I reply.

"That's great! Do you want me to stop by your place in 15? Do you want to walk?"

"Is that convenient for you?"

"Yep."

"Oh, that would be great. Thanks. And my mum might be able to give us a lift."

"Okay, fantastic, see you soon."

"Bye."

I hang up and get ready for school. I get changed and go downstairs for breakfast.

"Hey sweetie!" my mum said.

"Hey mum!"

"Would you like a lift to school honey? I'm going to stop to talk to the principal ."

"Yep, thanks mum, Ethan will be coming in 5 can you take both of us?"

"Of course."

Ethan's POV

I get to Zoe's house a little early to see that she and her mum were waiting outside for me.

"Hey Zoe! Hello Mrs. Lanchester!"

"Hello Ethan! I'm on my way to your school so I will give you two a lift," she replied.

"And please call me Kathreen." she adds.

"Thank you Kathreen." I reply.

We get into the car and get to school in 5 minutes.

Claudia's POV

Urgh school is just getting worse and worse.

Ever since everyone found out I was the one who did the thing to Zoe's forehead, everyone has been ignoring me and trying to stay away.

"Claudia Evans please report to the principal's office immediately." a voice boomed from the overhead speakers.

Oh god. Great.

I leave class, everyone staring at me, and walk to the principal's office.

I slowly step into the principle's office.

"Please sit down, Claudia," Mr. Zylenic.

I sit down, rolling my eyes.

"Now, Claudia, do you know why you are here right now?"

"No."

"We have had a parent come, mother of Zoe Lanchester has come in with a complaint that you were the one who pushed Zoe into her locker door which resulted in her having to go to the hospital and receive stitches."

I stared at him.

"Was it you?" he asks.

"No."

"Let me ask you again was it you?"

"Fine it was me. I will not ever regret it. Never."

"Thank you. Do you have anything else to say?"

"No." I reply emotionlessly.

"Good. You are suspended for a week. You may leave now."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. We will contact your parents immediately. Do you want me to ask your parents to give you a ride home?"

"I'm sorry? I'm not going anywhere."

"Yes you are and you are going now."

"Hello. I am Claudia Evans. Claudia Evans!" I shout.

"You are dismissed."

Ethan's POV

I hear Claudia's name being announced on the loudspeaker.

Finally she will get something she deserves.

At recess break, I rush into the cafeteria, looking for Zoe.

She is already at the table waiting with the others.

We sit there in silence, her head resting on my shoulder, eyes shut.

"I love you," I whisper, hoping that she didn't hear me.
