I'm in the Austin's dining room with Sammy. Mrs Austin yelled at Sammy for a while. She told us she was going to call the police but Liam convinced her that Sammy was with me. At this Liam winks and I glare at him. Cute kid but he's got a dirty mind.

We're at the table because she insisted on feeding us.

Mrs. Austin brings out two plates of lasagna.

"Hey! I thought you said they were no leftovers." Sammy exclaims.

Mrs. Austin laughs. "I lied. I saved some for you."

She sets the plates down in front of us. Sammy kisses her cheek and she smiles.

"I love you." Mrs. Austin says. "And I love that you're not dead in a ditch."

"I love you too. I also love your lasagna." Sammy takes a bite. "One of your best."

She laughs and turns to me. "I hope you like the lasagna. It's only a day old."

I laugh. "Day old lasagna is my favorite."

She laughs again. "She's a keeper. Don't screw it up, Sam."

"Not planning to." Sammy says.

Mrs. Austin leaves and I take a bite.

"Mhm this is good." I say.

"I take it you like lasagna?" Sammy says.

"Yup."

"Good because if you don't we can't be friends." He says.

"Well its a good thing I do."

"Hey fellas." Liam says and sits on a chair across from us. He leans onto the table. "What's good?"

"Not your company." Sammy says.

"Ouch. That hurt." Liam says then he turns to me. "Anyway. Wanna go on a date?"

I almost spit out my lasagna. "No!"

"Oh." He says. "It was worth a try."

"Liam leave her alone." Sammy says.

"I'm not doing anything!" Liam raises his hands in a defensive way.

"You're disturbing the peace. Go eat your snack or something."

"The only snack I see is Bella." He winks.

I snort laugh. The kid is a frickboy in the making.

Sammy throws a napkin at Liam. It lands no where near him.

"Ha! You missed me."

Sammy gets up and grabs the napkin. "I never miss twice."

Liam makes a move to run but Sammy grabs his arm and stuffs the napkin in his face.

"Eat that." Sammy grins and sits back down. Liam glares and spits the napkin out.

"How'd it taste?" Sammy says smugly.

"Like fresh air to be honest." Liam says.

Sammy and I stare at him.

"That doesn't make sense." I say.

"You and I don't make sense." Liam smirks.

I gape at him. That also doesn't make sense.

Liam gets up to leave. "Stay fresh, Cheese bags."

Sammy gives him the bird. I smack his hand.

"Stop it. He's 10."

Liam gives it right back and walks out.
