Intense Gaze

He extended his hand
Smiled brilliant lights
Showered intense gazes
And yet again
I turned away
Somehow, I reluctantly turned
Again,
His smile widened
Gaze intensified
But me?
Guilt washed over my heart
Pain throbbed in my heart
And I turned my back again
This happened not once
Not twice
But a million times,
And I'm still reluctant
I'm still distant
And every time I turn around
To face him again,
His smile widens
Gaze intensifies
Hand stretches again,
As if nothing ever happened,
As if I never faced back,
As if I never cheated
As if I never tried to forget...
And every time my heart hardens
Stopping me from feeling anything at all
Perhaps guilt has become a mountain
But Him?
Every time I meet His eyes,
His hope enlightens
His smile widens
Gaze intensifies
And He stretches His hands again.
