I Have What You Don't Have

I have a heart heavier than hail but it glows like the moon in the dead of night.

I have feelings that pour out of me like rain on an April morning.

I have a voice that's louder than lions, please let me be heard.

I have a fire in my core that refuses to be put out by the spit of my enemies.

You've insulted my desire to write, the poems I create have a piece of me in every word.

I let my pain, grief, happiness and secrets grow out of my fingertips into these pages.

I birthed these poems.

I have the strength to survive the harshest parts of life and what ever else attempts to shake me to my core.
