VANISHED: PART 2

HER VERSION
She heard him go into the bathroom and smiled feeling more alive than she had ever felt.
Last night seemed like a dream. She knew he loved her and she loved him too but she didn't think she could love him anymore than she already did but she was wrong.
She could live like this. She'd go anywhere with him,even to the ends of the earth.
She was about to reach for her phone on the bedside table when his phone rang.
Babe! She called out to him. Your phone is ringing.
Answer it, he said and she smiled to herself just thinking about the fact that she would be spending forever with this man, the love of her life and her soul mate.
She stood up and picked up the phone and saw from the ID that his best friend was calling.
Hi Patty,she answered with a little more enthusiasm than she felt.
Is Barry there, the young woman asked.
He can't come to the phone right now she replied. Would you like me to give him a message she continued.
Just tell him that I will be coming home earlier than planned and I can't wait for us to start planning our wedding. I have been waiting forever for him to come to his senses she said. I love the ring, it's so pretty. I can't wait for him to put it on my finger she continued.
Tell him to call me back okay?
Goodbye she said as she ended the call.
Iris had to struggle to regain her balance and reminded herself to breathe as she felt her entire world collapse right there.
She glanced at the ring in her finger that she had received twelve hours earlier and can't believe how her dreams just became a nightmare.
Should she confront him she wondered. She knew she couldn't bring herself to ask him if it was true.
Patty had been acting strange since he started dating her and even though she never met her, somehow she knew the girl was in love with him.
I can't deal with this right now she whispered as she struggled to find his note pad and a pen to leave him a note.
Five minutes later,she walked out of the apartment with tears in her eyes.

An Hour later, she heard a knock at the door as his voice called her name repeatedly.
She sank on the floor by the door as she listened to him plead for an explanation but she couldn't move. She just sat there crying as her heart broke into a million pieces and she was plunged into complete darkness as all she had to look forward to was a life without love,hope,laughter,joy.
A life without Barry Allen is meaningless......
