As the babies grew,so did their penchant for causing trouble.
As soon as they could crawl, they were everywhere. In the kitchen, the bathroom, the library, the family entertainment room. Their favorite thing to do was knocking things to the ground. It didn't matter what it was,as long as their hands could reach it,it was on the ground in a second. Their favorite part of the house was Benny's room. They loved to go in there to play.
As soon as they could walk,it was game over.
Barry and Iris loved their twin babies so much but even they would agree that they were no longer the little angels they brought home from the hospital.
Grandpa Joe always said that Benny was not a quiet baby and was always causing a mess around the house but even he would agree that the twins are twice trouble Benny was as a child.
Barry loved his little girl so much. He took her everywhere and was never tired of showing her off. She was such a pretty little thing with big brown eyes like her mother and her father's dazzling smile.
It was clear to everyone that Dawnie as she was affectionately called by her parents was such a daddy's girl and that she had her father wrapped around her little finger while her twin brother was always a mommy's boy. He loved spending time with his mother, watching her work.
When Benny returned from school one afternoon and found his room in complete mess,he threatened to give the twins back to the hospital and when he saw them trying to hurriedly tidy up the room,he laughed so hard and nicknamed them "the tornado twins" because they always left a place in total chaos than when they entered just like a tornado.
Benny loved his baby siblings and liked to spend time with them. It wasn't long until they were known as the unstoppable trio everywhere they went.
Barry and Iris wanted their children to spend quality time with both pairs of grandparents and made arrangements to have them spend weekends with each pair on an alternate basis.
Every Friday after school, Barry and Iris drove their children to their grandparents houses and picked them up Sunday after church.
Whenever their children were with their parents, Barry and Iris took advantage of the alone time to go off on little romantic getaways. Even though they've been married for four years, they still behaved like teenagers in love.
To the outsider,it would seem that nothing had changed between them but they are not the same people they were when they first met.
They still loved each other as much as they did, maybe even more than they did before but Iris West-Allen is no longer the  young woman who ran when  things got tough and Barry Allen was no longer the young man who couldn't get his priorities straight.
They are both determined to stay and fight for each other and for their family.....and that is what love is really all about.
It's not about finding prince charming or a perfect princess. It's about finding the one who you can laugh with, cry with, share your troubles with, who can comfort you by just being there and who you can comfort in return and build them into the man and woman of your dreams............
