WITHOUT A TRACE

THE PLOT

Joe West entered the upscale cafe on Murray's,ordered coffee and headed to his favorite table.
JW: Have you been waiting long?
HA: No, I got here five minutes ago.
JW: Do you think we are doing the right thing?
HA: Setting our children up? Yeah! Without us,they'd be content to spend the rest of their lives pining after each other.
JW: So, he had no idea that you already knew Iris was working at Gates?
HA: Of course not. He thought it was all a coincidence. All he knows is I talked him into coming back to town and told him about the job opportunity.
JW: Good
HA: And Iris?
JW: Not a clue
HA: Right. She's been back seven years already. We waited long enough for them to realize how much they need each other.We are doing the right thing.
JW: What's the next step?
HA: We make them meet in an unofficial setting. How about the eagles and angels vigil on friday.
JW: Not a good idea. The school year is over. Benny will be there and if barry sees the kid, he's going to figure it out Henry.
That boy is the spitting image of his father as a child.
HA: We can't keep it from him forever Joe.
JW: I know..... Alright, I guess it's fine.
HA: You get Iris and Benny to the vigil and I'll make sure Barry's there.
JW: Alright. I have to go. Benny had a playdate and I promised Iris that I would pick him up.
HA: See you Friday?
JW: Yeah. Take care Henry.
HA: Give our grandson a hug for me.
JW: Of course. You'll be able to hug him yourself soon
HA: I hope so.......
Henry Allen looked a little sad as he watched Joe walk out of the cafe. My grandson does not know that I exist,he thought to himself as he stood up and headed for the door..............
