They arrived at the Allen house and Benny ran inside while Barry and Iris walked in hand in hand smiling sheepishly.
Joe: So, did you move halfway around the world or something? What took you guys so long?
Nora: Leave the young people alone Joe. Dinner's ready. Let's eat.
Wally: I never thought it was possible for you guys to be anymore annoying but I was wrong. If you smiled any wider sis, you might just explode. Did you win a lottery or something?
Allison: Shut up Wally. Although I have to say, my idiot brother doesn't deserve you Iris.
Henry: Children, behave.
Joe: Guys, is there something you want to say to us?
Benny: Shouldn't we let them seat first?
Nora: Oh! Am I getting another grandchild?
Barry: Mom! You're embarrassing me.
Joe:What's there to be embarrassed about? It's not like you haven't done it before.
Iris: Dad! You are not helping.
Henry: Okay. Let's stop teasing the children.
Barry: Thanks Dad. Family, Iris and I have something to tell you.
Iris: We are getting married!
Nora: Oh my God.I'm so happy for you two.
Barry: Thanks Mom.
Nora: You are very welcome.
Iris: Thank you Mrs Allen.
Nora: Please, call me Mom. If that's alright with you Joe.
Joe: Of course. I'm perfectly fine with it. I'm happy for you baby girl.
Iris: Thanks Dad.
Allison: Wally, pay up now.
Joe: Children....
Allison: We had a bet. I won. It's only right for him to pay up.
Henry: What did you bet on?
Allison: How long it would take my idiot brother to propose. I said two weeks. Wally said two months.
Iris: Seriously Wall?
Barry: Thanks for the vote of confidence Ace.
Wally: Fine. I'll pay.
Allison: Iris, thank you for agreeing to marry my brother.
Iris: You are very welcome.
Henry: Hey, my son is not that bad. Congrats son
Barry: Thanks Dad.
Wally: I'm genuinely happy for you. It must have taken great courage to decide to marry that sister of mine.
Barry: You have no idea.
Joe: Are you two seriously ganging up on my daughter?
Wally: She started it.
Iris: Is this why you came back from school Wally?
Barry: Yeah. Stop picking on your sister.
Wally: Dude, you were on my side a minute ago.
Barry: Yeah but I'm spending the rest of my life with your sister. Isn't it obvious I should be on her side?
Allison: Excellent choice Barry.
Barry: Thanks.
Wally: Alright. I'm sorry. I was just playing around. I'm really happy for you Sis.
Iris: Thanks Wall. I know you were just kidding.
Benny: Can we eat already?
Nora: Yeah. Let's eat.
After dinner,they spent the rest of the evening talking and making fun of each other. They played games and talked about wedding plans. The happiest of all was Benjamin Joseph Allen. He felt he was the luckiest boy in all the world to finally have his parents together as a unit. He wondered how they were able to live without each other for so long. He wasn't the only one who couldn't contain the joy they felt. His grandfathers too. They were so glad their hard-work paid off. It was a joy to see their children so happy and at peace. Everything had come full circle. The world was alright again...... They had indeed become"One Big Happy Family"........
