Chapter 5.3 - New Friends, New Foes

Far away, the chrome copter was approaching from the distance but they still need their time to reach Lucy and rescue her. Her endurance to such wounds will not last any further than needed in those times.

"Beale Air Force Base? This is the camp?!" Seiner asks as he looks on the horizon.

"The Zlocu attacked in large numbers, especially since our armed forces in California started to dwindle, and thus, the Zlocu faced little resistance as they occupied the Western coast. Many good men were lost that day..." Jackson replies in a quiet yet almost strenuous tone, clenching his fists and all. And even if he's quiet enough, one can notice the fury present in his words.

"And it's not just that, I too watched my home being occupied them, not to mention seeing my family and friends die while being taken as a prisoner. I was a prisoner once...I won't be one ever again, not to any monster," Logan replies, almost in the same tone as Jackson.

"Such hatred..." Amira says in a worried tone. Her hands near her waist.

Logan turns around to face her, his once wide eyes turn narrow once more, his slight grimace turning into a frown as well. Even if she simply looks at her, he could tell why she said that. Jackson's expression remains the same, not even turning his attention to her. They truly know it...they don't want to be defined by such horrible emotion...but in war, even good men can be consumed by anger, no longer knowing if they could be capable of positivity again.

"Oh, cheer up my lovelies. I know there will be something puffy enough to elate ya up after this!" Tany says, trying her best to cheer them up.

"Hello, it's time for stealth mode!" Seiner says as he presses a button on the cockpit. The helicopter suddenly turned invisible.

"But Seiner, how are we supposed to rescue her without being seen while we land? It means we are at risk," Amira asks.

"Well...just watch this, lady."

Seiner then presses a button while trying to figure out most of it. Although invisible, the chrome copter's wings transforms into laser guns, machine guns, and missiles, ready to fire in combat.

"This is where the fun begins!" Seiner then presses a button, and the copter's weapons started to fire in a many directions, hitting as many trucks, container bricks, and all sorts of equipment as it erupts into a fiery inferno.

"What the hell is going on?!" Dakrin shouts while tilting his head to see the chaos.

"An attack, it seems one of your friends brought reinforcements, right?" Raven asks the awakened Lucy, now recovering from the torture. She manages to open her eyes long enough to see the spectacle of a lifetime. She even smirks at the implications of it.

"Maybe he didn't call them, but I'm pretty sure Jackson will kick your asses away...!" she says in a faint yet defiant tone. Dakrin then knocks her out cold as he growls with his fist still clenching.

"I suggest we kill this bitch to make sure that they don't get her in time!"

"No, we will not, we'll settle this in a face to face duel," Raven responds.

"Are you even being serious or you're just shitting me?!"

"Listen to him Cavendish, you will obey him just as we do!" Jeanette says while interrupting him.

"OK, whatever, now if only I was in charge of this..."

"Says the one who got knocked by a higher robot~!" Yamja says with a melodic tone, as Darkin clenches his teeth from such response.

The Chrome copter enters the hangar and it became a chrome box again called by Seiner.

"So, the reinforcements just arrived to rescue this escapee, and it seems that one of them is the one particular being that I've searched for some time..." Yamja says, all while pointing to Amira.
