The group had finally finished a round of golf, and though the adults managed to keep their composure, the children were practically dying.

1 round of golf may not seem like a lot but you should know that 1 round of golf lasts for 4 hours and portland had picked the worst possible day to stay sunny.

The group took the ridiculously small club car back to the lunching area where they were sat at before. Kyle, JJ, and Christian all shoved in the back, facing the opposite direction they were heading.

It should be known that Christian; as he demanded he be called, was rude, bratty and kinda immature. But the man had a certain aura surrounding him. One that Kyle felt he could relate to.

There was a lot more going on than what meets the eye. And Kyle found peace in that he wasn't the only one.

He did want to try to get to know the man but every time he glanced over to the guy he was sporting a grimace and complaining about his father.

The man had snatched his phone 2 minutes into the first hole. JJ and him tried not to look too amused.

"Can I get the club sandwich on rye with a side of coleslaw. And, oh, the sweet potato fries! I didn't know they were in season! Huh. And, obviously, I've got to have caviar. I mean I've never had it before but I'm sure it'll be..superb. And one of your strawberry lemonades. Please."

JJ clutched his head, trying to drown out his fathers rambling. His groan had some of the adults laughing along kindly.

"I'm sorry. Did you want something Jaime?" He spoke in a sarcastically harsh tone.

"Uh just an ice tea." His dad narrowed his eyes.

"Another club sandwich too please. Halves if you can." The waitress nodded, finishing the orders before heading off. Kyle respected the hell out of Mr. Reeds. JJ had a great father.

Kyle did..miss his dad. Granted he had come from a very different culture. He was raised to be respectful and proper and to uphold his family name as was tradition. He had extracurricular's that kept him busy and away from home on most days.

But it was nothing like his life now. They were his family. They loved him and showed that love in their own way. In their small apartment, in their small bed. Whether television or home cooked meals.

He missed both his parents and would never stop mourning their death. But. They were dead and he'd accepted that long ago.

Once the food came, everyone began to dig in. Everyone except for JJ. Mr. Reed had placed the sliced sandwich pointedly in front of him then continued on with his own mountain of food as to not scare him.

JJ hesitated, sipping at his drink before he began to take slow bites. Kyle caught the little smile that popped on his fathers lips.

A good dad indeed.

Kyle didn't laugh much. Not really.

Even when he was younger, Kyle was a very..how you say, inconsolable child. The only people that could make him laugh were his parents, Beom-soo and Mi-ran, and also his childhood best friend. Her name was Eun Jung. She was beautiful. But he hadn't been in contact with her in many years.

Yet when JJ tried some of his fathers caviar and gagged so hard, it came out of his..it doesn't even matter. But Kyle couldn't think of a moment he'd laughed harder.

"(Muffled) Kyle, I think I have fish egg stuck in my braces.."

"Your an idiot and I didn't hear half the words just you said." JJ pulled his hand out of his mouth and shoved them in Kyle's face as proof.
