14 (Final)

Naruto sat alone in her home her eyes on the clock. She fiddled with her fingers while she listened to the clock tic toc loudly.

Three days since Sasuke had left and the nervous knot in her stomach was tightening.

She missed both his body and the person, she also was nervous because Sakura was now hovering around her like a vulture.

She also had became aware of her appearance since her new hair cut. A daring bold one for chopping her long hair down to her shoulders.

She nibbled on her lower lip and stood up before she paced around the room.

She heard the sound of something rattling. Naruto turned on her heel and grabbed the lunar stuffed in the throw pillow.

She took a stance and prepared to attack, leisurely walked in Sasuke. He looked like someone had thrown him off a cliff.

Naruto inspected his wounds and grimaced when she walked towards him.

"It's wonderful you've graced me with your presence." She mumbled her eyes on him.

He stared at her and scoffed before he walked away his eyes drifting back to look around the house.

"Why aren't you asleep?" He asked in a flat tone, Naruto looked away.

"I had some paper work." She said with her arms folded upon her chest.

He looked around his eyebrow raised, Naruto looked away.

"In my study."

"Whatever I'm so fucken tired." He said cracking a joint back into place.

He winced placing his hand on his side, Naruto was by his side within the blink of an eye.

She stared at him with wide eyes, she lifted his shirt and immediately her blood ran cold.

"What happened?!"

"Mission happened, you never told me your fucking Anbu abandoned!" Sasuke said in a low tone, he slapped her hands away.

Confusion came over Naruto, She stepped back her eyes wide. He sighed and walked passed her a dark cloud over his head.

Naruto bit her lower lip and placed her hands on her hips. She glanced at Sasuke who was already at the top of the stairs.

She had to see the council soon.

The following day when the sun rose, Naruto was moving fast through konoha her eyes staring ahead.

She had on a black tank top on, black bootleg pants and ankle length ninja boots. She landed down on the Hokage's roof.

The air was cold and there was not much of buzz on the streets of Konoha since Pain attacked.

Naruto could see the fear on everyone's faces and it made her heart ache.

She clenched her jaw and stood upright when she allowed herself into the window.

On que she dodged the scroll flying at her head. She stood upright and bowed a grin on her face.

"Oh Granny why are you so grumpy?"

"Your Anbu got switched for Root and you never noticed?!" Tsunade snapped in a sharp tone.

Naruto stared with wide eyes her heart skipped a beat. She clenched her hands into fists and the smile was gone.

"What do you mean?"

"Have you even touched your paper work or are you slacking again?!" Tsunade snapped throwing a scroll at her.
