Stressed Payton Moormeier bromance

Chapter 4

Jaden scrolls through the on demand movies on the hotel tv for a few minutes before Payton sees what he wants to watch Jadens is about to scroll past when
"Wait" Payton says
"That one" Payton tells them

"You want to watch...Shark tales?" Jaden asks
"Yes please" he says sweetly

The other boys shrug and Jadens puts it on.
Payton pays intense attention to the movie laying on his stomach yoshi under his head his sock clad feet kick softly behind him.

The other boys don't really pay attention to the movie but sit quietly while Payton watches. When the movie ends the other boys pick out another movie.

Payton tries to watch but just isn't interested in it he sits quietly playing with his yoshi chewing on his hoodie string. When he does look back up at the tv there's a sex scene on the tv. And while Payton knows what sex is and has even watched porn right now he just wasn't in the mindset to process it.

He stares at it wide eyed blushing for a second before quickly averting his eyes back to yoshi. He looks over at the other two boys on the bed they watch the movie like it's nothing laid back against the headboard relaxed.

Payton decides to try and copy them he lays back yoshi settled into his chest and tries to relax and watch the movie. But it's boring Payton thinks
He readjusts and settles back down again he makes it about five minutes before he moves again.

It goes on like that Payton trying to get comfortable to watch the movie before getting bored and moving again for about ten minutes.

Bryce and Tayler get fed up with the constant moving the grab him and readjust they settle Payton between them sandwiching the boy tightly so he can't move. With all the squirming Yoshi ends up on the floor.

Payton tried to look on the bed for him and couldn't see him he tries to squirm out from in between the boys to find yoshi but Tayler grabs him and holds him to his side.

He finally lets out a small distressed whine tears coming to his eyes

"Bud what's wrong just sit still" Tayler asks Bryce looking over to them
"Yoshi" he whines trying to pull away from the boys
Bryce sits up a bit and looks around for a second before leaning over the side of the bed and producing the boys stuffed toy.

Payton makes grabby hands at it and takes the toy happily once within reach he settles once the toy is in his arms his face buried in it as he relaxes.

He chews gently oh his hoodie string rubbing his nose softly against his yoshi and soon Payton is fast asleep.

Bryce's Pov: In this moment Payton looks so terribly young he cried for a stuffed toys then fell asleep cuddled against it.

The movie ends and I motion for the guys to follow me out to the balcony leaving a sleeping Payton on the bed snoring softly.

"Y'all saw that too right" Tayler asks as he slides to door closes to the balcony.
"Payton's little episode?" Anthony asks
"Yep" I reply
"Maybe he's just childish?" Jaden questions
"I mean sure he's young and there's nothing wrong with being a tad bit childish but I think that was a bit different" I states
"Maybe he's just I don't know having a meltdown I mean he's gotta have something going on I mean he cried for nearly and hour in the shower this morning." Griffin states looking back into the room at Payton.

We sit quietly for a moment just looking at eachother.

"Let's just ask him what's wrong" Tayler says
"Let's just tell him that you heard him cry and that we were worried we are spending the whole summer traveling together and we just want to be good friends" Tayler explains
"That sounds about as simple as you can get it" I state the boys nod and we make our way back into the room.

We sit around Payton on the bed and Griffin gently shakes Payton awake. He sits up slowly rubbing his eyes
"Hmm" he hums in question
"Can we talk to you about something important" Griffin asks
"Yeah of course" he says
"Griffin heard you crying in the shower this morning and you've just seemed a bit off and we are spending the whole summer together and we just want to be good friends and make sure everything is okay" I tell him
He looks at us for a second before giving a simple
"I'm fine"
"Payton you cried for almost an hour this morning" Griffin states matter of factly
"I don't I guess I'm just stressed" he says shrugging
"We'll talk to us about it I'm sure we can help bud" Jaden says
" I didn't want to come on tour" he starts
"I wanted my summer to be relaxed I spend all year traveling making time for school in between and being away from my family and friends. My friends back home aren't famous we can just do normal people stuff together not everything revolves around getting content and it's nice. I model make music and TikToks I have a YouTube channel and my family is super supportive but I travel alone gone for a week home for the weekend before leaving again for meetings and shows." His eyes are getting watery and he's looking at his hands
"I wanted to meet my fans but I've had so much on my plate lately shit I worked on my birthday for Christ's sake I just didn't want to come on tour but I didn't tell anyone that management told my mom how good it would be for me and my career and she signed the paperwork and here I am" he says soft tears running down his cheeks

"Oh bud" Griffin sighs pulling Payton into his lap
"I promise this will be fun we'll have a great summer together it'll be one to remember" he whispers softly
"We'll always be here if you need to talk" Anthony states "And we have plenty of off days to go do fun things" Jaden tells him
"We can teach you everything we know about time management and the industry it's a lot of work but there's no reason to be working yourself as hard as you are" Tayler tells him reaching over to rub his knee
"Just let yourself be a kid" I tell him softly
He smiles brightly at us obviously relieved to have gotten everything off his chest and have support from all of us.

Payton's Pov: I was so relieved to have their support I really looked forward to having new friendships with people pursuing the same kinds of things as me.

We talked for awhile more the boys telling me about their experiences and lives. I was content sitting in Griffin's lap listening to everyone talk.

It made my heart flutter I felt warm and tingly inside and safe with these boys we had only just met but I never wanted to lose them.
