KENZIES POV

i step out of the car to be greeted by and gust of warm wind.

i look around and see a beautifully clear stream surrounded by trees who's branches flowed to the sound of the wind. on the stream was a tiny wooden dock with a canoe and across from that day a single tiny house. it was small and cute with a hanging chair on rather side of the front door. it had two windows and a small chimney. it reminded me of the houses i used to sketch in elementary school.

i breathe is the flowered filled sweet air and look over to johnny who's chuckling at me

"pretty huh?" he says and i nod

"it's my favorite place, my grandpa found the stream few years ago and built a house on it . then right before he passed he told me about it." lauren doesn't even know it exists so don't spill the beans" he teases and i smile

"i will not." i laugh "but can i ask you something" i question and he nods to continue

"if not even your sister knows about it, why did you take me here."

"because" he says "your special"

with that my cheeks flush a bright pink and winks taking my hand and leading me down the dock.

"let's go in" he says and i shake my head no "i don't have a bathing suit" i say somewhat discouraged that he didn't tell me i would be needing one

"neither do i" he jokes taking off his shirt to reveal is rock hard abs and jumping in the water

"come on princess! it feels great!" he yells at me and i laugh

oh what the hell. i say to myself and then tell him to turn around while i slip my jeans and shirt off.

i quickly catapult myself into the cool water and let it consume me.

johnny looks at me longingly smiling and i can feel my cheeks burn red as he comes closer to me.

"can i show you something" he asks our faces only inches apart

"yes" i breathe and he smirks

"go underwater" he instructs and i do as he says

i stay under for longer than i expected feeling at peace. i never wanted that feeling to go away.

i come up from the water to be greeted by johnny who's hair was dripping water as it fell in front of his face, wearing a goofy smile.

"did you feel it?" he asks me running his fingers along the water and i give him and confised look

"the stillness" he continues reading into my confusion

i smile

never would i thought in a million years that i would have so much in common with a football jock

"yeah. yeah i did" i almost whisper laying on my back soaking up the bright sun

"that's why i love this place so much." he says

and for the next hours we just lay there enjoying the peacefulness

laughing at each other

splashing one another with water

and most importantly growing our bond

"we should probably get out it's getting dark" johnny says and i nod strutting out of the water and into the tiny house

"you can shower if you want" johnny yells at me still outside of the house "just don't be long" he adds jokingly and i send him a quick ok before hopping into the shower
