KENZIE POV

"johnny stop!" i scream as he chases me around my room his hands extended trying to tickle me

"never!" he yells back laughing

i fall onto my bed trying to regain my breath when his huge figures lays right on me and his muscular fingers start jabbing at my sides.

i let out a huge belly laugh as he continues to tickle me

"s-stop" i say in between laughs and finally after a solid minute he gives up and sits down next to me

we both sit on my bed in a fit of laughter trying to catch a breath

tears spilled from my eyes and soon enough from his too as we both hold our stomachs in pain

"ya know i think i just got a six pack from all that laughing" i say after a solid twenty minutes of the two of us trying to calm down

"well that's gonna be gone soon after we have our movie night" he jokes hoping up from the bed

"speaking of which we need to finish the fort" he grabs my hand and pulls me up from my seat and starts working on our blanket fort

it took up most of my room and was filled with lots of pillows and fairy lights.

"and done" johnny applauds himself as he puts the last clip on the blanket

i open up the flap and crawl inside followed suit by johnny carrying a huge bowl of snacks in one hand and his laptop in the other

"what are we watching?" i ask him staring into his emerald orbs getting lost in the sparkle his eyes showed

"i was thinking 16 candles" he smiles softly and my eyes light up

"omg i love love love that movie!" i squeal and he laughs

"me too"

i grab a bag of chips as johnny presses play and i lean my back against a pillow when i feel his arm snake around my waist as he starts to pull me closer to him.

my cheeks blush a rosy color as i lay my head in the crook of his neck and scrunch my nose taking in his smell i loved so much. i avert my gaze to the movie and he places a small kiss on my forehead before doing the same.

JOHNNYS POV

the movie ends and i yawn looking a the beautiful girl asleep in my lap. i couldn't help but smile every time she would let out a soft snore or shake in her sleep.

i rub circles around her back with one hand and remove the hair from her face and mouth with the other.

i watch her peaceful figures move to the sound of her snores.

i saw the way her eyes twitched when i made a sudden movement, and how her plump and rosy lips sat below her nose only moving every so often, i saw how her cheeks got red hot when i touched them, and how she laughed to herself about the dream she was dreaming.

i stare at her for a little longer before taking out my notebook and jotting a few things down. i have always loved to write songs and whenever i get inspired i put my lyrics down on the page.

i chew on the back of my pencil softly humming the tune for the lyrics i have just created thumping my foot to the beat.

Lights are getting low
Everyone's gone
But I don't want to go

i sing softly

"wow your so good" i hear a petite voice say and i look down to see sleeping beauty has woken up

"shh go back to sleep princess" i direct her but she doesn't listen

"no i liked it. please. your really talented" she begs

"fine but only because your so damn cute" i joke bopping her nose

Let's drive around this ghost town
And they can have their lights out yeah

"that's all i have so far" i blush running my fingers through my hair

"johnny" kenzie gasps "that was the best thing i have ever heard. i had no idea you could sing"

i blush again chuckling

"yea no one knows i really only sing in private"

"why would you hide your talent!" she awes and i caress her cheek with my thumb

"not everyone will think i'm as good as you think i am KZ." i chuckle

"well then they're dumb" she jokes

"your too cute" i whisper to her and her mood suddenly drops

"what's wrong" i ask concerned and she looks away

"i-i" she mutters and before i know it her lips are against mine

i resist at first caught completely off guard but when my mind register the situation i ease into the kiss

it felt amazing. our lips seemed to connect like puzzle pieces. we moved in unison as she wrapped her arms around my neck and i twisted my fingers through her hair

she suddenly jerks her head back and places a hand over her lips

"oh my god i'm so sorry" she says shocked by her own behavior

"don't be" i smirk

"no i-i should have i uh" she starts but before she can say anything else she gets up from the fort and sprints out of her room leaving me speechless

i know a lot of y'all were looking forward to this chapter and i'm sorry it doesn't due justice. it's kinda awful.
