mackenzie groaned as she forced her eyes to stay open while she sat in her and johnnys room, awaiting the arrival of her boyfriend

her head was pounding from all the alchohal she had consumed that night and all she wanted was to go to sleep

but because she was such a good person she knew she should wait for johnny and brynn to get home, and just make sure they were ok

they were in this mess because of her so it's the least she could do.

right when she was about to give up and close her eyes she heard the front door open. she hopped out of bed and slowly scurried down the stairs with a blanket wrapped around her body.

"john?" she asks tiredly peeking around the corner only to see her best friend standing there

"hey!" brynn smiles pulling the small girl into hug

"hey brynnie" she smiles back hugging the girl tightly "how'd it go did john let you punch him?" she joked letting go of the hug and looking at the girl

"not exactly but i did make sure he didn't kill the kid" she laughs back yawning

"i'm tired so i'm gonna get to bed, don't stay up too long. oh and by the way johns coming he's just parking the car" the blonde smiles tiredly, walking up the stairs

mackenzie yawned again and walked to the front door to greet johnny. she was about to pull the door open when it started to move the other direction.

she jumped back as the door opened revealing her boyfriend. she smiled softly at him as he slowly shut the door, not realizing that anyone was in front of him

"kenz oh my god you scared me." he whispers jumping back a little

"sorry i heard brynn so i wanted to make sure you were ok"

"i am now" he smiles pulling the girl into a hug

"hey you too tired or you up for a drive?" he questions the girl, wrapping her blanket around his shoulders

"i could never resist a drive with the one and only" she joked opening the front door again, slipping on her shoes, and slowly making her way to johnnys car

he followed suit after her, hopping into the front seat, intertwining their hands, and then starting the car and pulling out of his parking space

"so what happened today" the girl asked looking up at her boyfriend longingly

"i just made sure presley stayed away from my baby" he smiles at her

"you know i can defend myself right john?"

"i know my love but i just got so mad because of the way he was treating you, he was acting like you were a fucking object and i let my anger get the best of me, i'm really sorry i just want to protect you, always" johnny rants lovingly as mackenzie stares at him in awe

"i've never had someone care about me the way you do john, i really don't deserve you"

"shut up you deserve the world"
