The four of you left the city shortly after Sypha returned. You all loaded into a wagon then left for the next city, Arges being the closest. Along the way, you planned to stop of the old Belmont home to retrieve anything useful from the vault within it's foundations. The plan was weak and had yet to be developed, but it was a plan nevertheless. You knew that once you go to the Belmont home, you'd need to decide the next step from there. If you found nothing to help with finding Dracula's castle then you'd need to make a new plan from scratch. This was all something to worry about once you got to the Belmonts home, for now you just worried about keeping Alucard and Trevor from killing each other with Sypha.

Eventually you all stopped, letting the horses pulling the wagon rest. You jumped out and untied the horses from the wagon, leading them to a few bushes so they could eat. You tied the leads to a nearby tree just in case they tried to run off. Sypha quickly lit a fire with her magic then everyone sat around it, making idle conversation about what to do after this. Conversation was suddenly cut off by a soft screech coming from the road. Trevor jumped into a tree quickly while Alucard grabbed his sword. You and Sypha also readied yourself, hearing whatever it was grow closer. The scent reached your nose quickly, the scent of death a cinders. 'Demons' you told yourself. Your dog let out a low growl before you signaled for him to be silent.

Alucard was the first to approach the night creatures, holding his sword up. "No further." He said.

Immediately, two of the creatures charged him. He dispatched of them quickly before two went into the air, one creature with large wings carrying another. You pulled a arrow back in your bow then trailed the flying creature, aiming a bit ahead of it to account for it's movement and wind. You let the arrow go, the object piercing through the air then imbedding itself into the left arm of the creature. It let out a ear splitting shrike then fell, dropping it's companion. Trevor killed the one it had used to carry quickly before Alucard finished off the wounded one.

Sypha took care of a few that had started to throw fire at all of you, one of them getting away in the end. Alucard stepped forward to look at some of the now dead creatures, putting his sword away. "Nobody's going to Arges tonight." He said.

The four of you then went back to the camp and quickly packed up, deciding you had no time to rest. Once on the road again, you sat in the front with Trevor since his old home wasn't too much farther. After a bit longer, you all passed an old tree. It was large but had looked dead, it's branches curving in odd ways.

"There." Trevor said then pointed to the tree. You looked at it quickly before turning your gaze back to the road. "That's my tree. We're nearly at the house." Trevor went on to say.

"Your tree?" You questioned.
"I used to play in that tree." He explained.

"It was everything, that tree." Trevor said, sounding like he was reminiscing over the tree. "It was my house, my boat, my fort. Anything I wanted it to be..."

"I forget that we were all just children once... In a simpler time." You said, glancing at Trevor briefly. He thought for a moment then turned to look at you.

"I realized that I don't know much about you." He said.
"There's not much to know I guess? I was born in a small village and had a pretty normal life until I decide to leave. I sold my skills with a bow as a mercenary and got by just fine." You explained.

"No home then?" He asked.
"No, suppose we have that in common." You said, giving him a small smile which he returned.

"You could always go back to your 'small village.'" He said.
"Doubtfully, the night hoard would of destroyed it by now... Not many there knew how to even hold a weapon." You said, your tone slightly grim.
"That doesn't mean they're all gone." He said, surprising you slightly with how caring his words actually we're.
