| Chapter 4 |

Alucard carried you out of the massive archive, keeping you wrapped up tightly in his coat. Your body had been covered in large wounds and gashes, things a normal mortal would of never survived. Those wounds closed over during the walk up, your skin stitching itself back together within minutes. Once everything was healed, you had woken up. A small grunt left your lips since you still felt a bit of muscle pain, catching everyone's attention. You had fought to keep your eyes open, seeing how you were so tired. You pressed your hand to one of Alucard's arms then attempted to stand, only for him to try and stop you.

"{Y/n}, I do not mind carrying you..." He said, his gaze slightly worried.
"No... I'm fine." You said, your voice a little weak.

Alucard wasn't convinced but nevertheless, he let you try and walk on your own. When your bare feet touched the cold ground you inhaled, trying to steady yourself. Your hands pulled the long coat around your shoulders tighter while you attempted to take a step forward. Your leg buckled after a bit of shaking from the weight put on it and you fell, finding yourself back in Alucard's arms shortly after. Sypha watched with a bit of pity in her eyes, her heart going out to you in your condition. Trevor meanwhile had anything but pity, his whole being only showing anger.

"Leave her behind, we need to go." Trevor said, his tone making you scowl.
"Can Trevor and I have a moment?" You asked, your gaze flickering between Sypha and Alucard.

They nodded and you signaled your dog to follow them. Alucard didn't want to go since he was obviously worried for your health. Not to mention he didn't trust the hunter in this moment. There was a thought in the back of Alucard's mind that Trevor would try and kill you. Leaving you alone right now was the last thing he wanted to do, but he would listen to your request anyway. For now he waited with Sypha and your dog, his gaze focused on the dog since they didn't exactly see eye to eye yet.

You leaned against a railing slightly, finding it hard to stand while your body was still healing. Alucard's coat kept you warm and covered for the moment, it would be fine until you could find your bag. "You're mad at me..." You said, the weakened tone of your voice making Trevor cringe slightly.

"You're God damn right I'm mad, you betrayed everyone." Trevor spat.
"No, I just didn't tell anyone other then Alucard."
"Why did he get to know?"
"He's a vampire, Trevor. He was able to tell easily..." You explained.

Trevor crossed his arms over his chest and scowled, seeing how you were right.

"I'm sorry... But what did you want me to say?" You asked. Trevor stared at the ground while you continued, having a internal debate with himself. Part of himself told him to just kill you, but the other part wanted to apologise to you. "If I told you when I first met you that i turn into a giant wolf monster on occasion, what would you of done?" You asked.

"Killed you, like I should do now." He admitted, making your eyes widen and tear up slightly.

"And the hunters called us the monsters..." You mumbled. Trevor held a hard stare, his heart breaking slightly at what you said. "You see why I never told you! Your family hunted my kind for centuries, just like they did to vampires..." You said.

"Your kind was mauling people." He argued.
"Can you say that for all of us? Even me?" You countered.

Trevor went quiet and you stood up, feeling significantly stronger now. "I didn't want you to find out like this... But there was no choice." You said to him. Trevor sighed while he thought about what you said.

You walked out of the room and to the stairwell where Sypha, Alucard and Buttons were waiting. Thankfully, you found your boots along the way. Normally they'd slip off, but clothes themselves always got destroyed beyond repair. You had found your bag as well and pulled out the clothes you had packed in there. You turned to the others then frowned. "Turn around thank you..." You said, making Trevor and Alucard turn their backs to you. Sypha laughed slightly then did the same, nudging Trevor in the ribs when he attempted to peak.
