Mark reached his elective class and sat down in a huff, eyes glancing around at everyone to whom he would be sharing the school year with.

There were a lot of normal looking people. One dude had bright pink hair and weird antenna-like things sticking from his head along with strange green glasses, but other than that, everyone looked average. Mark just hoped he wouldn't be forever alone in this class since he doesn't have it with anyone he knows.

His hopes rose when a hooded boy with black hair sat next to him, pulling out a notebook and immediately writing something before the class even started. But Mark being Mark had to at least attempt to make a friend.

"Hey! I'm Mark," the blonde said and waited for the other to look up at him, to which the boy did not do.

It made Mark feel extremely awkward that he practically greeted nobody just now, but he shook it off. If he could just get the boy to look at him, maybe he could get a good mind reading.

"What you writing? I don't think we have to take notes before class," Mark said and chuckled slightly, finally getting the boy to stop.

He cheered inwardly as the boy raised his head, eyes landing on Mark's. But immediately when he did so, Mark felt a weirdly intense feeling as his mind suddenly went blank, as if no thoughts were entering or exiting. The boy looked back down and began writing again, Mark snapping out of it as he held his head.

"Man... that's some ability," Mark groaned and blinked a few times. "Maybe I'll be able to do that someday while taking this class, don't you think?"

The pencil lead broke on the paper that the boy was writing on, his knuckles turning white from the amount of pressure his grip had.

"Will you shut up already?" the boy hissed and looked over at Mark again, this time not doing that mind boggling technique.

Mark looked into his eyes and only saw anger in his thoughts, putting his hands up in defense as he turned to the front. "Fine, sour boy. Didn't mean to irk you by being friendly."

The boy rolled his eyes and closed the notebook, focusing on the class that was now starting. Mark kept his gaze away from the boy since he was now annoyed at his annoyance.

The class went by smoothly, Mark receiving a couple texts from his main bro Jeno during the time, making him sneak some messages back to the dark haired while watching out for the teacher. The boy next to him caught this a couple times but just rolled his eyes, he aint no snitch.

Finally, the bell rang and Mark had somewhere to be. Jeno has asked to meet up behind the school to talk about something important, and anything goes for his best friend.

Mark zoomed out of his seat but stopped in his tracks, turning to the boy who was still packing his stuff.

"See ya later... Renjun!" Mark said cheerily as the boy just groaned in annoyance, holding up a fist as a threat. When Mark read his mind earlier, he managed to get a glimpse of his name.
