After making my final staff decisions, I decided to put together a little event for the ladies at my salon. I know it's asking for too much to expect everyone to be best friends and expect no drama, but I would like for everyone to at least be cordial. I want my salon to be known for the good vibes and good service, I will not be known for having a loud and drama filled salon. Hell nah.
"Alright well my names Jhene, but I'm sure yall know that by now and if you don't you needa look around sis." I tooted my lips pointing at the multiple signs with my name on it, as the ladies followed my finger directions laughing softly." I am the owner of Jhene India's Boutique, and a fun fact about myself is... I I just moved here from Atlanta but I grew up in Chicago. "
"Okay well I guess I'll go. Hey yall the name's Royale, and I'm a part time receptionist and in charge of the floor refreshments. And my fun fact is, I attend NYU studying to be a Special Education teacher."
"Wassup my name's Diamonté and I am also a part time receptionist and in charge of floor refreshment. I also attend NYU, and I am studying to be a Nurse Practitioner."
I smiled to myself feeling blessed that I was able to help them out. I know how it is to work towards your dream, and also having to work to support yourself at the same time. Not only do I want to give them a break, I also want to guide them through this process and be there for them kind of like how Chyna was there for me. I plan on basically having the two switch weekly, which will give them good hours, but still not get in the way of their school work.
