New Message: Paul
Kota. Come on we need to talk

New Message: Sam
Dakota Tala, you are apart of this Pack so come home and we'll talk about it.

New Message: Embry
Kody, you're right. We can't be killing your family and Sam isn't listening. I'll let you know when he comes back to his senses or if I hear anything from Jake.

Reply: To Embry
Thank you. I hope he comes to it sooner rather than later because if he kills her, I don't think I could forgive him. Alright let me know.

"Charlie, I'm home!" I announce, throwing my keys in the ceramic dish by the front door. Since I've moved out and Bella's been "sick", the house has become a mess, beer cans littered any and all open surfaces. Making me wonder how the house looked when Renee left him all those years ago. I make my way into the living room to find him in his recliner, silently sitting by the phone, it's apparent that he hasn't shaved in weeks and hasn't slept in that long as well. The Cullen's lie about Bella's state of being is killing him and when she really turns and they tell everyone she's dead, that will be the end of him.

"Hey Kods. You heard from her at all?" He asks as I sit on the arm of his chair.

I see the glimmer of hope shining in his dark eyes and my heart breaks knowing that I couldn't tell him that Bella is back in Forks. "No..." As he notices the hesitation in my lie, the phone rings to save me.

"Bella?!" Charlie gasps after hearing the voice on the other line. Bella is on the phone with Charlie? Isn't that just making matters worse, knowing that she's giving him hope despite the fact she's about to become dead to society or dead dead because of her daughter. Charlie looks at me, smiling like the Cheshire Cat, "Well, you sound better."

"I am. I feel much better."

Charlie chuckles, happy to hear his daughter's voice, "This whole thing must've put a kink in the honeymoon, huh?" No her honeymoon was good, trust me a little too good.

He puts it on speaker phone for me to hear Bella chuckle, "You could say that."

I mumble a quick hello to her as I walk out of the room to grab Charlie something to drink that was fermented. "Otherwise, married life treating you okay? Edward still walks on water and all that?"

"Yeah, but, I mean, it is different now," Bella admits slowly but her tone suddenly became warmer. She most likely was smiling at her spawn of Satan, growing inside of her uterus.

Charlie mouths out thank you as I placed his new drink in the coozy beside his armchair, "The important thing is that you're better. And that you're coming home soon, right?"

She's already home, but she's not in the same state she was when she left nor will she ever be again, after one of the Cullen's change her into one of their kind. And now there is the possibility that she can die while giving birth. Nevertheless, Charlie will never see her again in anything other than a casket.

"Okay, Dad, I don't want you to freak out, but I'm going to a medical center in Switzerland," Bella choked on her words, softly crying for her father, knowing that the longer this lie is strung out the more painful this is for Charlie.

"What? No, no, you're not. You're not going to Switzerland. What are you... You said you were better," Charlie emphatically jumps out of his chair.

"I am," Bella groans.

Charlie begins to trifle and rummage through the drawers by the front door, most likely trying to locate his passport much like his daughter did in March when Edward was going to kill himself, "No, Bella. I'm getting on a plane. No."

I sense this is going to escalate quickly, so I redirect him back to his chair while Bella cries, "No. It's really more of a spa. And I'm sure that I'd be better by the time you got there anyway. Dad, don't come. And picture me healthy, like I'm sitting on the couch with you, eating pizza or something."

I laugh at her request and Charlie chuckles too, finding her request weird, "You want me to visualize?"

I nod, trying to support Bella's case, "They say that it helps. Just picture her like that. Like Bella was."

"Dad, I got to go, okay?" Bella whispers, choking on her words, "I love you."

She hangs up and Charlie slowly sinks back into his chair, looking as though he's lost all will to live at the sound of the phone cutting off. If this is how Charlie is going to be for the next indeterminable amount of years because of Bella's incessant need to become a vampire, I'm going to do something I regret. New Message: Embry. I open my phone to see Embry's words, telling me that I had come home right now because he needed me. "Hey Charlie, do you want or need me to stick around because I've got an errand to run. I will if you need me to, this isn't as important as you are," I ask Charlie, almost scared to leave him alone with his thoughts in a home I know contains firearms.

He blinks out his thought process and kisses my forehead, shaking his head, "I'll be fine, Kiddo. Thank you. Go."

I walk out the door, taking my keys from the key dish, "Now you call me if you need anything. I mean it, you're my number one priority. Nothing is too small, say the words and I'm here."

"I will, now go," Charlie chuckles, pushing me out of the door.

"Embry, what's wrong? What's going on?" I ask as soon as he picks up the phone. I not only broke every traffic law possible to make it to the Rez in record time but I constantly kept dialing his number until he answered.

"I need you to meet me outside the Cullen territory like right now. Jake is coming to talk about something and Sam is sending Paul, of all people, to talk to him. And you're the only one who either one of them listen to," Embry explains as I speed down the road, parking in my driveway.

I sprint out in the woods, barely keeping a hold on my phone, "I'm on my way right now."
