**ANDY'S POV**

So I did. I told Ashley about the worst night of my entire life, excluding the parts about my parents being vampire hunters, of course. "When I was thirteen," I began softly. "My parents and I were...out one night. We were walking in a deserted park when these...these creatures...jumped out of the shadows and charged at them."

"Vampires," Ashley whispered, understanding dawning on his face.

"Yes," I nodded. "I had been a little ways away from them. When I saw the vampires, I hid behind a bush. I wanted to help them, but I just couldn't't bring myself to move. I was too scared. I just sat there and watched as they surrounded my parents. They tried to fightback and defend themselves, but there were too many. Four vampires, and only two of them. I...I watched them attack my parents. Three of them took on my dad, and their leader brought down my mom. They...they drained them completely of blood. Then their leader, he took out a box of matches and...and...." I choked up, and felt my eyes begin to water again.

"They what?" Ashley prompted gently. "It's okay, Andy. You can tell me."

"They burned their bodies," I whispered, turning my face away so he wouldn't't see the tears start to fall again. "And then they were gone. Just like that."

"Oh, Andy," Ashley murmured softly, pulling me into a tight embrace. "I'm...I'm so, so sorry."

"It's f-fine," I sniffed, burying my face in his shoulder. "It was a long time ago."

"No, it's not fine. To have to see something like that...." he trailed off and hugged me tighter before pulling back to look at my face. "Do you remember what they looked like?"

"Not really," I muttered. It had been dark in that park, and the bit of faces I could see were blurred and fuzzy with the age of the memory. The only thing I could remember was red eyes and a flash of deadly sharp fangs. "But it doesn't't matter. I'd never be able to find them again, if I did want revenge."

"I'm sorry, Andy," Ashley looked down, his tone ashamed. "For what I am. I must disgust you."

"Oh, no Ashley," I shook my head and kissed his cheek. "Of course not. I love you just the way you are."

"Thank you," he smiled and kissed me softly.

"No, thank you," I countered. "For letting me cry all over you."

Ashley looked down at his shirt, which was soaked with my tears, and grinned devilishly as he took it off and threw it over his shoulder. "No problem. I think more good comes out of that than bad, anyway. Wouldn't't you agree?"

"I...uh...." I gaped at his perfectly sculpted six pack, and the tattoo on his stomach that read 'outlaw'. "Um...."

He laughed. "I'll take that as a yes. Have you eaten anything yet?"

I nodded. "I had a little bit of pizza."

Ashley frowned. "That," he said, standing and pulling me to my feet as well. "Is not a proper breakfast. Come on, let's go get you something real to eat."

**A FEW HOURS LATER**

Sammi, Jinxx, Christian, Jake, Ashley and I were all sitting on the couch, watching TV. Ronnie had gone outside for a smoke. Jinxx was trying to put his arm around Sammi, and she continued to stubbornly push it off. Still, five minutes later, Jinxx would always try again. Sammi may have denied any attraction between them, but I could see in Jinxx's eyes how much he cared for her. Jake and Christian were making out next to them, and I was curled up on Ashley's lap as he stroked my hair lovingly.

Suddenly, we all heard the front door bang open, followed by the sound of two rapid pairs of footsteps. Ronnie flew into the room, a look of terror in his eyes. "HELP ME!!" he screamed before running upstairs. Less than a second later, probably the hottest girl I'd ever seen ran into the room.

Sammi and I both looked at her, startled, but the vampires were completely unfazed. "Hey, Crissy," Jinxx greeted her. "Back so soon?"

"Yeah," She grinned. "And what a lovely surprise I came home to. Who's the new batch?"

"Crissy this is Andy and Sammi," Ashley pointed to me, then her. "The one you just chased upstairs was Ronnie. Guys, this is Crissy, our other roomate."

"Hey," Sammi said, pushing Jinxx's arm off her again.

"Uh, hi," I said, trying not to stare. Crissy was wearing a pair of short shorts and a tight black corset, and is was very hard NOT to look somewhere indecent.

Ashley caught me staring, and frowned before kissing me passionately, effectively taking my attention off Crissy and completely back onto him. We kissed for a moment before breaking apart.

"Ronnie," Crissy purred, looking back up the stairs. "Mmm, I like it. I'm gonna go get...acquainted with him. See you guys later," and, with that, she took off up the stairs.

I looked at Ashley, slightly bewildered, and he laughed. "I'd say Crissys found her mate."
