**A FEW DAYS LATER**

***BLADE'S POV***

"Are there gonna be smores at this thing?" Sammi asked as we set up for the bonfire Andy had planned in our backyard. "I really want a fucking smore right now."
"Yeah, Matt's bringing the marshmallows," Andy replied, carrying a huge bag of coal over to Ashley, who was at the grill, and handing it to him. "Here ya go, Ashes,"
"Thanks, babe," Ashley kissed him briefly. "Could you help me with the grill?"
"We should do this a lot more often," CC muttered. His eyes were locked on Jake, who was chopping some logs into firewood.
"Enjoying the view, CC?" Jinxx nudged him teasingly.
CC grinned and glanced briefly at him before going back to eye-raping Jake. "More than you know."
"Yo, I don't need any more scarring for life over here!" I called from my seat beside my sister on one of the logs surrounding our fire pit.
Sammi laughed and came to sit down next to us. "Oh, just you wait Blade. You're probably gonna end up just as love-struck as your dads."
I looked over at Ashley and Andy. Andy was standing behind Ashley, helping him figure out how to start the grill. They tried to keep the PDA to a minimal when Ashlyn and I were around, but I could see how much they cared for each other. Even now, I could see the love in every move they made. The way Andy stood as close to Ashley as possible, the way he leaned his head over his shoulder to see the grill, practically resting his chin on it. The way Ashley pretended not to know what the fuck he was doing, just so Andy would help him.
I looked over to see Ashlyn staring at me. When she caught my eye, she grinned. "So, are we the only ones who haven't met this Matt guy?" she asked.
"No, none of us have met him, either," Crissy answered her, walking out the back door with Ronnie, who was carrying a cooler. "Only Andy and Ashley have. He's Andy's werewolf friend."
"Yeah, friend," Ashley repeated. Something about the way he said the word 'friend' told me that he didn't like him.
"Come on, Ashley, don't be like that," Andy scolded him, frowning. "You really shouldn't hold grudges."
"What about holding grudges?" called an unfamiliar voice. We all turned to see two men come walking around the side of the house. Both were as tall as Andy, and both were dressed in all black. One of them had chin-length black hair and laughing blue eyes. He reminded me intensely of someone, but I couldn't quite remember who. The other had shorter black hair, and wore a thick layer of eyeliner.
        "Hey, Matt!" Andy called, grinning.
"Sup, Andy," Matt motioned to the guy next to him. "I brought my boyfriend, that okay?"
"The more the merrier," he replied. "Matt, this is Sammi, Jinxx, CC, Jake, Ashlyn, Blade, Ronnie, and Crissy," he pointed to us each as he listed off our names. "Guys, this is Matt and...uh...."
"Jayy," the guy next to Matt answered with a smile, but he looked kind of nervous. "You didn't tell me most of them were vampires," he muttered to Matt.
"Sorry, I forgot you didn't know," Matt smiled apologetically at Jayy.
"No worries," Ronnie said from his perch on one of the other logs around the pit. "We're friendly people. Just don't pee on the side of the house, and we're fine."
Just then, a figure appeared behind Matt and Jayy. "Dad, don't I get an introduction?"
"Right, sorry," he smiled and pulled the figure out from behind him. "This is my son, Drake."
Drake smiled as everyone said hi. Then he turned, and his gorgeous blue eyes met mine. I watched them widen in shock, and resisted the urge to let my jaw drop to the ground.
        Oh my god.
