**ANDY'S POV**
I woke up the next morning to a pillow hitting me in the face repeatedly. "Hey! What the fuck?!" I screamed, sitting up and glaring at Ashley, who was holding the pillow and grinning at me.
"Come on, sleepyhead," he giggled, oblivious to my annoyance. "Time to get up!"
I looked at the clock next to the bed, and groaned. "Ashley, it's five-thirty in the morning!"
"Exactly," he said. "It's time for school!"
I moaned again and flopped back down on the bed, using my pillow to shield my face from any pillow attacks. "I don't wanna go to school!" I moaned, sounding like a seven year-old kid.
"I know you don't, baby, but you have to. Just because you're dating a vampire doesn't mean you can not have an education," I felt Ashley ease the covers off me, and a minute later I felt him crawl on the bed next to me. He began to rub the inside of my thigh gently. "Come on, Andy. It's time to get up."
I peeked out from behind the pillow, and saw him smiling his irrisistable smile at me. "Why do you have to be so damn responsible?" I grumbled as I sat up, rubbing my eyes tiredly.
"Because I care about you," he kissed my cheek and hopped off the bed. "You can wear some of my clothes today. After school we'll get all of your stuff from your house," and with that he skipped out the door, pausing briefly to say, "See you downstairs!"
I sighed and walked into the bathroom, stretching and yawning. I took a quick shower, and picked out a simple outfit from Ashley's closet. An old Kiss shirt and a pair of plain black jeans. I did my eyeliner and my hair, and trudged downstairs.
I found everyone gathered in the kitchen. Christian and Jake were drinking from blood bags, Jinxx was helping Sammi finish some homework she had characteristically forgotten to do, Crissy was sitting on Ronnie's lap at the table, whispering something in his ear, which he in turn laughed at, and Ashley was making toast. He smiled at me when he saw me. "Hey baby. I made you breakfast!"
"Thanks, Ashes," I replied, taking the toast from him and kissing him on the cheek before going to sit down at the table next to Sammi.
"Am I the only one who thinks it's totally unfair that we still have to go to school?" she asked me when I sat down.
"No, I don't get it either," I replied with a shrug, taking a bite out of my toast.
"You guys are still under age," Jinxx said, looking at me. "You have to at least finish high school. People would notice you were gone, and besides it pays to have knowledge. Learning is especially important when you are as young as you three."
"Oh yeah?" Sammi shot back, obviously annoyed at his wisdom. Rationality didn't sit well with her in the morning. "And how old are you, that you get to act all high and mighty and shit?"
Jinxx grinned slyly at her. "I'll never tell."
"Guys, bus is coming!" Christian yelled, eyes locked on the window that looked down the street.
"Come on, kiddies!" Jinxx said cheerily, pushing off the table and starting to walk toward the front door. "All your stuff is at the door. Let's get a move on!"
"Have a great day, sweetheart," Crissy purred to Ronnie, kissing him gently.
"Why doesn't she have to go?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Crissy acts as our guardian," Ashley explained, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me to the door. "In case we get into trouble at school or some other legal matter. She plays the adult in the family."
"Oh," I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door with all the others. The bus driver gave us an odd look when she saw Sammi, Ronnie and me, but didn't ask any questions as we followed the vampires down the aisle and all the way to the back of the bus, where there were four seats that seemed to be unspokenly reserved for them. Christian and Jake sat next to each other, Jinxx pulled Sammi into his seat, I sat next to Ashley, and Ronnie sat down in the seat across from us, still smiling from Crissy's kiss. I assumed whatever she'd done with him last night had changed his view on her.
"Andy," Ashley said to me quietly, taking my hand and causing me to look at him. "I don't think that we need to tell you that our...paranormal situation needs to remain a secret, right?"
"Of course," I nodded. "I'd never tell anyone, Ashley."
"Good," he gave me a quick but passionate kiss as the bus began to move again.
