I feel that sensation of uneasiness, the same feeling pearl had given me previously...Something's gonna happen but i cannot tell when...which scares me more than it should...
I sat on the stool as i watched Steven eating a can of cream corn on the kitchen counter, as he dramatically narrates his actions which i can't help but giggle at.
" This is it, folks. Rookie sensation Steven Universe readies his last spoon full of Colonel Kernel's Classic Creamed Corn. As the crowd and my mom await with bated breath, one bite between him... and destiny." He then takes an spoonful of cream corn and swallows it " And he's done it! My baby has officially eaten four cans of creamed corn!" He laughs while i cheer
The Temple Gate opens and the Gems walk out of Pearl's Room.
" Good afternoon, Steven. Good afternoon, Indy." Pearl says with a small smile
" You three, check this out! " I say while motioning them over, the other gems gathers the empty cans on the kitchen counter " come on over!" Steven said encouragingly
" Stoo-man in the house! Whatcha got? Whatcha got?" Ame asked curious as ever as i smile slightly at her trying to get Steven to just blurt it out already
" I got five empty cans of Colonel Kernel's Classic Creamed Corn!" Steven started as I glanced at Garnet every so often kinda feeling awkward almost...
I felt as if someone was watching me and when i looked i was met with Garnet one or two milisteps away from me "... Cool."
" Yeah, and on the back, are five dollar coupons for mini-golf. I ate five cans Mom got me, so we all can go together." Steven said while showing us the coupons
"That's so thoughtful, Steven. Unfortunately though, uhh..."
Ame shrugs "We gotta go on a mission..."
" What? " i ask as i step towards them surprise, I hear Steven dropping the cans in shock
"No, not again! But you guys promised we'd all get to hang out!"
" A dangerous artifact has appeared in the Northern Hemisphere, we need to go retrieve it. Plus, you have Indy to keep you company" Garnet said as she walks towards the Warp Pad
My eyes widened slightly...I'm not going with them? " But I though-"
" But I always spend time with Mom a-and mini-golf is so much fun! There's castles, and windmills, and I like it, and- oh look, look what I brought! " Steven cuts me off and runs to the living room " I pulled out my dad's old clubs and also found a pair of his old golf pants. They're a little big on me and Mom is a tad bit too thin, but you can wear them, Garnet!"
I let a small smile glace my features as Pearl and Ame chuckle while Garnet's face remains expressionless. The other gems then step on the warp pad.
" See ya, buddy! See ya, Sugar Mama!" Ame calls out
" We'll bring you something back for you two!" Pearl said as i waved sadly
The Gems warp away as Steven sighs heavily and falls backwards onto the ground.
" Well, you're not the only ones with a dangerous adventure to tackle."
Steven starts to play Mini Golf Quest and eat chips. completely forgetting that i was there with him, i sigh softly and sit down onto the couch leaning back against it as i close my eyes slowly.
" Awww yeah! You received the Mythril Putter! " Steven imitates the game sound and starts reading the characters' dialogues' "Don't worry Professor. We're gonna sink 'em all!" He yells while i chuckle at his antics
