So the whole lot of us were searching for a Gem Monster, on an island. Our search comes to an end on the island's beach. I was kinda tense since the incident yesterday...What would happen if they put more thought into it? what if they questioned it? Lazuli's aren't that tough so of course 'me' being one i should've poofed!- im over thinking it now.
" Are you really sure it's here?" I asked
" It was." Garnet replied
" Do you think it swam away?" Pearl asked
" We'll have to look." Garnet said
Steven gazes out to the ocean " Whoa..."
Ame picks Steven up " Come on! it's time to go."she carries him to the island's Warp Pad
" Awww, already" Steven said as we stepped on the Warp Pad " Wait, wait, can I warp us back?" He asked
Pearl smiled " Alright."
" Yes!" Steven cheered
Steven extends his arms to his sides and begins concentrating. The warp stream then beams us away.
We all arrive safely back at the Crystal Temple's Warp Pad.
Steven gasps happily " I did it! I'm the warp master!"
" You did great." Pearl said smiling a small smile
" Way to go honey!" I cheered
" Good job." Garnet said
Ame appeared with a head of a fly, screaming " Steeeeve-"
" Waaaaahh!!" Steven screamed and falls off the Warp Pad in shock
" Honey! Are you okay?" I asked rushing to help him to his feet
" Amethyst! That's not funny!" Pearl scolded
I sighed, cracking a smile and let out a almost silent chuckle
Ame shape shifts her head back to normal with a smile on her face.
" Ehh, it was a little funny." Garnet said
" Regardless, we need to warp back out." Pearl said
Steven gets up " Can I warp us there?" He asked
" We're going underwater." Garnet said
Pearl smiles worriedly " And you do need air to breathe."
" Then can I tell all my friends I'm the warp master?" Steven asked
" I guess, but-" Pearl started
" Of course honey!" I said happily cutting Pearl off
Steven runs out of the house before Pearl can finish begin to elaborate her sentence.
Once the gems and I got back i flopped down onto the couch groaning out loudly and annoyingly
" I. AM. SO. SORE!!" I raised my voice as Pearl shook her head.
" You barely did anything Indy, you shouldn't be so sore" She said
" I came along, didn't i" I said sassily and slightly muffled by the couch cushions
" Oh, well i suppose that is an accomplishment to be noticed of" She said smiling at me while placing a hand onto her hip
" Well, now that we have time to spend. Indy? Would you like to do some training? or just...'hang out'?" Pearl asked with a small blush
I sat up sluggishly and stretched out with my arms high above my head i stood up " Sure!"
Pearl seemed to beam and snatched up my arm dragging me off and away from the other two, Garnet stood there silent as she watched me get dragged away from her- and Ame.
We entered MY room and decided to play some hide and seek- my choice - she was up as seeker and i hid like my life depended on it.
I soon enough got bored and let her find me. We hugged and left to the decent sized lake.
We sat down.
I sighed.
THIS is boring.
" So...Indy?...I was wondering if you know what type of dance type you prefer? For fusion i mean" Pearl said, which caught me off guard
" I uh...I-I guess i do. Why?" I asked with a narrowed gaze, she blushed and looked back at the lake.
" Curious is all...Would you fuse with a gem you know?" She asked
I shrugged " Depended on that 'gem' i suppose"
" Oh. What about me? would you ever fuse with me?" Pearl asked sporting a good bush and looking at me with a hopeful glint in her eyes
I stuttered " I mean, i wouldn't NOT fuse with you but- yeah, i would at one point i guess" I say unsure but Pearl takes my answer beaming , smiling from ear to ear with a very bright teal blush
She clasped my hands " Indy, will you fuse with me?" She asked
I was having mixed emotions.
Im flattered that she wants to but also worried and very concerned, if i fused with her she might find out more than i have led on she might find out who i really am!?
I bit my lip " I-I'm sorry Pearl but, No, I can't ...your a lovely gem and i would be honored but...I'm just not ready to fuse with anyone" I say giving her a sad smile
Her smile faltered until it was only a small understanding one
" I get it. But, I am willing to wait for it" Pearl said softly
I giggled and pressed a kiss to her now inflamed cheek.
I feel something nag at me from the back of my mind but i cant quite put my finger on it yet its as if i can tell that someone won't be too happy with me? Maybe even Pearl instead?
I hummed as i had layed my head onto Pearls lap feeling her play around with my hair seemingly aimlessly as i continued my sweet soft spoken song/humming
" Would you ever leave us to return to HomeWorld? Would you ever go back?" Pearl asked quietly and suddenly making me stop my humming but still kept my eyes closed
" Hmm, well its obvious that i could never leave you guys" I giggled " I would never leave you lot for HomeWorld, would i ever return? Yes. I would have to go back eventually with or without my consent to the matter but for now, i am not going anywhere anytime soon...If i have to prove that i am with the rebellion, i would not, if i would ever have to prove that i root for HomeWorld, i would not either. I stand alone. Not obliged to a single side as i happen to appeal to both parties and i agree with most or all of what each side has to say on matters and in general" I say feeling Pearl continuing you mess around with my locks hearing her let out a single sigh
" I understand." Pearl said as she continued to do what she was doing in the quiet
" On a lighter note, it was eye opening to see that you hadn't poofed from the impact the day before" Pearl started as i started t tense up
" I am one to say that i am impressed! your a much stronger gem than i had once thought" She said, im flattered but offended at the same time.
" Your a special gem, i have always known that" Pearl said as she stood up offering me a hand which i took and she had helped me to stand upright before we walked towards my door and she placed a light peck to my cheek before quickly leaving...I shake my head not being able to hide a tiny small as i continued to think of the slender gem
