Yee yeet. It's ya boi, skinny penis

Anyways get ready for sum angst :') oh also in case you can't tell, this is a really slow paced fanfic, so they probably won't actually start dating till more towards the end :)

I don't know why I asked that. I just felt like I had a right to now. A wave of panic passes over Jared's face before quickly getting replaced by a nervous smile.

"W-what texts?" he stutters out. Woah. The Jared Kleinman stuttered. I cross my arms.

"Don't pretend you don't know. I know you've read them." I hold up my phone, displaying the 'read' underneath all my texts. He grips his wrists.

"Ah, fuck. Um... I'm sorry?" He hides his face in his hands (hiding in your hands-) and laughs nervously. "I guess I just wasn't ready to talk to you, or something."

Damn, college Jared is a lot less cocky then high school Jared. (Or the author just doesn't know how to write characters based on their actual personalities) Something inside me just snaps, and I get angry at him.

"Wasn't ready?? It's been a year, Jared. A whole fucking year. Couldn't you have at least said hi?" I yell. He jerks his head up and looks somewhere off my left shoulder.

"Why are you so mad? It's not like you made any other efforts to contact me."

"Well, I didn't want to bother you, ya'know, cause I'm just a 'family friend.'"

He pauses, obviously hurt. Oh gods, what have I done. My mom wanted us to make up, but heere I am, yelling at him. Like I did in high school.

"Well then why are you bothering me now?" he mutters, quiet, but loud enough for me to hear. I don't know what to say. My eyes water, but I can already see tears streaming down Jared's face. I want to take it all back, but another part of me thinks he deserves it.

"I'm sorry, I need to use the bathroom." He whispers before running out of the room. Shit Evan, you really fucked it up now. So much for trying to become better friends with Jared.

I hear faint sobbing coming from the bathroom, but I rush downstairs. My mom and Ms. Kleinman are sitting in the couch, laughing. I sit next to mom and pull out my phone.

"Hey, where's J-" my mom starts, but she stops after seeing my face. She pats my head before conversing with Ms. Kleinman once again.

Jared doesn't come down for another hour. I'm pretty sure he just didn't want to have to face me or his mom, so he waited until it was time for food.

We all sit at the table, Jared avoiding me entirely. I notice that he barely eats anything, and he looks extremely guilty. He doesn't say anything during the entire meal, which is very strange for Jared.

Also he keep scratching his wrists and glancing at the bathroom, almost like he can't wait to escape to it.

Now that I'm sitting heere, I see how big the sweater is on him. It hangs over his now small frame. I'm honestly confused on how he lost so much weight in a year. In high school, he was always kind of overweight, but now he's even skinnier then me. It's kind of unnerving.

After everyone's done eating, Jared suddenly runs upstairs. His mom calls after him, but he's gone.

"Sorry, I had to use the bathroom" he explains, after coming back downstairs after about 5 minutes. He whispers something in his moms ear, who then looks at my mom.

"Sorry to cut the party short, but Jared says he's not feeling well, so I'm gonna take him home. I'll see you guys later!" She exclaims. Jared looks like he's about to throw up as he staggers out the door.

When the door shuts, I help my mom clean up. My mood lifts a little, but my mind just keeps going back to Jared face after I yelled at him. Broken, scared, hurt.

I excuse myself upstairs, to go do something else to forget about it.

Suddenly, my bladder begs for release, so I walk into the bathroom. But then I notice something that I didn't see before.

There is tiny spots of blood on the ground, and a tiny blade sits on the sink.

Gosh darn it jared learn to clean up after yourself smh

Also oop, Jared left his blade 👀

Anyways

See ya later
