Chapter 10 Outside / Sewers

Elizabeth POV

‘Finally’ I thought.

I was so glad that we were finally out of the police station. 

“Is that the intel you needed?” I heard Leon asked Ada.

“Unfortunately no. Ben didn’t come through” Ada replied.

“Well, what exactly are you looking for?” Leon asked. 

“More info on the people responsible for this mess” Ada replied.

I continue to listen to them speak while keeping my distance.

“What about you? Trying to save the world?” Ada asked.

“I told Lieutenant Branagh I’d bring help” Leon replied.

“Good luck getting that… “ Ada said.

I then shivered. It was really cold and the rain was not heling. 

“What about you?” Ada asked.

I stopped. I knew she was talking to me.

“What about me?” I asked.

“How did you get mixed in this mess?” she asked.

“I was unfortunately out of the city with a friend when all this happen. I got here with Leon and Claire” I replied.

“Interesting” I heard Ada replied. I rolled my eyes before hugging myself more into Leon’s jacket that I had on.

“Mmm... Road’s out” I said, stopping.  

“Going through that gun shop looks like the only way” Ada said.

I nodded before walking to the gun shop. I then kneel down and use a couple of bobble pins that I had with me to pick the lock-up. I did it.

“Where did you learned to do that?” Leon asked.

“A friend” I replied, walking inside.

“What a mess…” Ada said.

I walked deeper into the store, looking around for anything that we could use. I found a grande sitting on a table. I also found a long barrel for the shotgun. 

“Leon” I called, throwing the long barrel at him and he swiftly caught it.

“Thanks” he said. I nodded with a small smile.

I walked around the store some more before hearing someone drawing a gun out. I quickly looked up. I saw a man pointing a shotgun at Leon. 

“Don’t move!” I heard the man tell Leon.

“I’m not going to hurt you” Leon said.

“I said DON’T MOVE!” the man said. 

“I’m just passing through. I’m going to ask you to lower that weapon” Leon said.

“Like hell you are!” the man replied.

“You’re going to turn around, and go right back out the way you came in” the man told Leon. I looked at Ada and she nodded my way.

“I think your daughter needs help, sir” I heard Leon tell the man.

“Don’t tell me how to deal with my daughter” the man said.

“Drop it!” Ada ordered.

We both had our guns out pointing at the man. Leon immediately drew his gun out as well. Ada then began to walk to the little girl behind the man. I could perfectly tell that she was about to turn.
