Me🔥: you guys might remember a while... WAY while back that I held a QnA for 1K reads, and now that I've finished this story (it's been like a month or so I think?), it's time for another one! I have given you all plenty enough time to submit some questions, and I have a fairly good amount of ones to go ahead and answer, so let's just go ahead and answer them all!
[Me, sifts through the endless screenshots that were made to keep track of all the questions. After an infinite amount of years spent, Me finally pulls up the right fucking screen.]
Me🔥: Aha! Here we go! The first question is from brainshut asking:
Not sure if this was asked already or not but how long did it take for you to come up with the whole plot, characters, etc.?
Me🔥: Don't worry, I haven't gotten that one yet 😂. And I mean I might have kinda talked about this with you but I'll confirm
Honestly, I had this story idea cooking for a few weeks before I started to actively put together a plot, though I had absolutely no clue where I was gonna start. I felt really depressed after breaking up with my ex boyfriend (about early April 2019), and I think I started publishing this story in about middle May 2019.
So... that month or so was just me really playing around with that story concept, making Mitchell and Ryan. I started with a simple beginning, but... the plot got fucked so many different ways and directions over time, I don't think I had much of a plan for anything.
There were always some meager plot bits that got thrown into the pot over time (I didn't come up with Mitchell's exact backstory at first, it came up a few chapters into my writing, and I added it in bit by bit), but most of the main parts (like Mitchell's running away towards the end) were planned from the start. A lot of characters got accidentally developed along the way (like pretty much Sarah, Qwill and Kayla)-
[in the back of a studio, a protest breaks out because of ineffective character building.]
Me🔥: Anyways... I sometimes look back at JAR and kind of wonder what else I could have done with it. I'm planning stuff already for the sequel, and hopefully it won't have sequel syndrome either... 😖
