One Month Later

Marion

"Nigeria" I yell running into my bedroom.

"I'm sorry" she laughed going to the other side of the bed.

"What I tell you about slapping me" I said hopping over the bed grabbing her by the waist.

I grabbed her face facing it towards mines.

"I'm so damn in love" I said in my head.

A large smile grew on her face as she hugged me tight.

"What all the affection for" I asked putting my chin on the top of her head.

"I'm so damn in love with you too" she grinned pushing me to the bed.

She got on top of me kissing me all over my face.

"Brother" I heard my sister Jade yell.

She came running in the room with Marcus trailing her.

"What y'all doing here" I asked as Nigeria hopped off me.

"Mama and Dada have to go somewhere they picking us up in the morning" Jade explained jumping on my bed.

"Marcus where is KJ" I asked him as Nigeria played with Jade.

"He right out here" he said pulling KJ into the room in his car seat.

"Y'all hungry" Nigeria asked getting off the bed.

"Yes" we all said in unison.

She laughed and went downstairs.

"Brother, when is the wedding" Jade asked getting on my lap.

"What wedding"

"You and Nigeria obviously"

"Oh in a couple years" I said smiling at her.

"Why not now I wanna be a flower girl" she pouted crossing her hands.

"Ask her to marry you now"

"I don't have a ring" I said as her eyes lit up.

"Here" she said handling me a ring pop as I laughed.

"Come on and hide the ring" she said pulling me out the room.

I saw Nigeria facing the stove as Jade pushed me towards her.

"Nigeria, I promise to do everything I only can to be a perfect match for you and to become a husband you deserve. I want to become your happily-ever-after, and I will do my best for your beautiful smile to never fade. You are the greatest and the most precious gift given to me by this life, so I wish the whole world knew about my infinite and limitless love for you. I am looking forward to the day when my last name will become ours, and our love will give a birth to a new family. You are the one I want to be for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, will you marry me?" I said with all honesty pulling the ring pop out.

She laughed as she saw the ring pop.

She got me off my knees and kissed me hard.

"Yes, I will" she said kissing my cheek.

"You ain't for real right" she whispered in my ear.

"Nah, Jade made me but what I said was true" I smiled kissing her again.

"Yay" Jade exclaimed clapping her hands.

"Dang you throw it down" Marcus said taking a bite of the rice on the stove.

"Boy get tf away" Nigeria said smacking him upside his head.

"Damn it was just a bite" he mumbled rubbing the back of his head.

Nigeria rolled her eyes at him and continued cooking.

"You put them to sleep" I asked laying on the bed.

"Yeah" He replied crawling into bed.

"You talked to your mom yet" he asked pulling me into his chest.

"Yeah yesterday, she said she coming back in 3 weeks"

"So you go leave me"

"Boy you can live" I laughed playing with his small beard.

He spaced out into thought for awhile.

"Marion you ok" I said snapping outta his trance.

"Mhmm just thinking about when we graduate ya know" he smiled kissing my forehead.

"You going to college" I asked.

"Nah"

"Why not"

"Mamas I make millions a week what imma need college for"

"And if that goes left"

"Then it goes left"

"I choose UCLA"

"Why tf you going to a college across the country"

"It's one of the best schools"

He huffed turning over.

"Marion" I said repeatedly put no answer so I turned over holding in my anger.
