Olivia's Diary Entry: Four
June, 17 2015.

"One moment I was playing on the shore,
The next I was drowning in an ocean"

I was stopped by the teacher after class today,
I failed yet another test...
I was told I was lucky,
Lucky that I was a good student most of the year,
That I would still pass if I got a passing grade on the exams.
As If I had cared,
As if a passing grade meant anything to me.
As if it would mean anything to anyone...
I then lost something important,
A picture of me and my family,
We all had one; it had been our family favorite,
And I had lost it,
Just as I had lost mom,
And even the rest of my family.
It was as if life were mocking my struggles,
As if it found my pain laughable.
As if my fear of sleep were a joke,
As if my loneliness were a game of the heart,
For life to play with.
Perhaps that is why with every passing day,
I feel myself drifting away from reality.
