After a long time of online chats, Anita and Richard decided to meet in person, at the school's garden.

Anita arrived at the exact time they had agreed on; 1:00 PM. Being the school's time keeper, time was nothing to joke with.

Ten minutes passed.

"Are you sure he's coming?" her friend who had escorted her, asked.

"Maybe I'd wait," she replied, feeling slightly embarrassed.

"You know we have a class by 1:30." Her friend gave her a reminder.

"You can go without me," Anita said.

"Alright, good luck."

Anita was now alone. Another ten minutes passed. She sighed, getting up.

"I tried," she muttered to herself, leaving the spot for her next class.

Richard appeared in a rush not long after she left, dissapointed to find no one. He had been held back in class by a teacher. And then he wondered. Was she even here? Did she wait for me? For he was only twenty-three minutes late.

But one thing was sure, they both felt rejected.
