The only life he'd ever known was that of a prisoner, locked up in a cage. Night and day he wished for a day he'd be set free.

He felt so unlucky, compared to his friends, who were being traded for and set free. He wanted experiencing what they had, freedom. But as days go by, he felt more lonely than ever.

And there came a day, a fine young man walked into the building. He looked around.

Please pick me, please pick me. The prisoner's heart cried out.

The young man spotted him laying down sad in his cage, and he came close.

"Hey, fella..."

The prisoner felt hopeful.

"How much does he worth?" the young man asked the master in charge of the prisoners.

"A hundred thousand."

"I'll take him," the young man said immediately, without a bargain.

The master unlocked the cage, and the prisoner walked out slowly. He'd never felt so great, it was more than he imagined. The young man picked him up, the smile on his face saying he made a good choice.

"Let's go home."

And finally, the cute puppy had an owner, and a lovely home to call his own. He was free at last.
