It was the night of Christmas Eve, and everyone trooped into St. Kizito's parish for the beautiful event, looking festive in greens, golds and reds; the colors of the season.

Everywhere looked amazing with the Christmas ornaments hung perfectly around the church. The huge, nicely decorated Christmas tree stood at one corner of the church, close to the alter.

The choir sang with angelic voices after every Bible reading. From Silent Night, to O Little Town of Bethlehem, We Three Kings of Orient, Twelve Days of Christmas — it went on and on.

They all enjoyed the play of the birth of Christ, acted beautifully by the little children.

The annual Christmas Eve event was coming to a close, and then came the long anticipated Christmas hymn.

The instrumentalists gave a melodious intro to the song, giving everyone the chills as they all got ready to sing their hearts out.

"We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy new year!"

And then boom! The sound of fireworks in the air, and everyone screamed at the top of their voices.

It was a glorious night.
