Narrator pov

Nicole knocked at her sisters door

She had to check on her, it was late and she still hasn't been out of her room

"Coming" Ava said while getting up and walked to the door and slightly opened it to see her sister "what's wrong? You haven't been out of your room all day" she asked "I'm not in the mood" she said while trying to close the door but Nicole stopped her

"Wanna go out? It's a party at mariahs tonight" she said and Ava shook her head "fine, I'll put flora to bed then I'll ask miles" she said and Ava nodded "you don't care about your boyfriend going to a party?" Nicole asked surprised "he's not my boyfriend" she said and closed the door on her sisters face

Nicole stood at the door shocked at her sisters behavior

She walked to floras room and picked her up "alright flor, you have to go to bed a little early" Nicole said "why?" Flora whined "because I'm going to a party" she said and flora pouted and crossed her arms while Nicole placed her in her bed

"I want to go" she said "it's for big kids only" Nicole said "is miles gonna stay?" She asked "maybe, I don't know yet, but avas staying" I said "avas no fun, she hasn't been out of her room all day" flora whined "if she doesn't come out you can be in charge" Nicole sweet talked the little girl and she smiled

"I'm in charge! I'll be making dinner" she said and Nicole eyes widened "I already made dinner" Nicole said and flora sighed "I'll be eating dinner!" She said "ok, promise if I bring you your food you won't spill it up here" Nicole and floras eyes widened with happiness "I get to eat in my room?!" She asked "yes, but only this one night" she said and flora nodded "okay I'll be right back with your food" Nicole said and she headed down stairs and made floras plate and brought it up to her "thank you nic" flora said as she grabbed her drink first "no, juice after you eat" Nicole said sternly and she put her drink down

Nicole then walked to miles room and knocked on his door

He opened it and Nicole spoke up

"Since Ava doesn't want to could to this party, will you come?" Nicole asked "it depends, who's gonna be there?" He asked "people, both genders, what else do you expect" Nicole said with a laugh "okay, I'll come" he said and Nicole smiled "I'm glad, I'll meet you downstairs in 30" Nicole said and he nodded

Miles didn't know what he was doing, he just needed a break from this house

Flora

And of course Nicole, but he was stuck with her until they got to the party

Miles has been to some parties but he didn't quite enjoy them

So he was going to go again, this time older than before, he hoped to enjoy it

Nicole walked back to her sister room and knocked on the door, Ava rolled her eyes and got up again "what do you want now, nic?" Ava asked "just for you to check on flora while miles and I are gone" she said and Ava nodded "okay" she said and Nicole stoped her "aves, like seriously check on her and make sure she goes to sleep" Nicole said and Ava nodded "I will Nicole!" She said while raising her voice already getting irritated with her sister

Nicole walked away making her sister close her door again

Ava felt nervous for miles, she didn't want to admit that she didn't want him going but she also didn't care

If he didn't care about her, why should she

She's been texting Brian on Instagram, she doesn't see him as a boyfriend though, she sees him as a friend but he doesn't feel the same way, Ava only texted him when she was bored

Ava was ready to leave this hell hole

She didn't want to be here anymore but she knew there was no way out

She couldn't walk home

It was a 3 hour drive to get in town, and that's only town

It took another hour to get home, that is 4 hours in total and she couldn't even walk 5 minutes without being lazy or complaining

Soon the front door closed and everything went silent

Ava was about head to sleep until there was a knock at her door

She got up and opened it to see flora; she already felt bad for forgetting about her that quick

"I'm scared Ava" she said and Ava picked her up "why?" Ava asked "I heard a noise come from miles' room" she said and Ava got the chills

"Want to sleep with me? We can have a girls night!" Ava said while trying to cheer the little girl up and trying to distract her "Yea! I'll go get my dolls and pillow" she said making Ava laugh

Flora came back with a hand full of dolls and one little pillow

She opened her hand letting everything drop the floor

"Let's play dolls!" She said happily "only for a hour then you have to go to sleep" Ava said and flora nodded

Once the girls laid in Avas bed flora turned towards Ava and laid her head on avas chest

"Where's my mommy?" Flora asked making Ava eyes widened knowing the news Nicole told Ava about their parents

Their parents past away when flora was 4 and miles was 13, miles knew his parents were gone but flora didn't

"Uh, I don't know flora" she said and flora sighed "please don't leave me, ava" flora said and Ava heart started to hurt, she held in her tears

She knew flora never experienced having a mother full time, Ava wanted to get out of here, but she didn't want to leave flora

"I'm not going anywhere" Ava said "promise promise?" Flora said "I promise, love" Ava said to flora and kissed her forehead

Ava saw flora as her little sister also, she had great happy vibes unlike her brother

Ava couldn't help but be happy around the little girl, she knew she wanted flora to live a normal life, but her life wasn't normal

But Ava wanted to make it normal for her
