Narrator pov

Miles sat on avas bed as Ava disinfect miles' cuts

"This eyebrow cut is deep, miles...it won't stop bleeding" Ava said while frowning at the site while still holding the towel on his cut while miles slightly winced in pain

"Your lip is swelling too" Ava added and miles sighed "like I said, I'm sorry" miles said and Ava shook her head

"No, I'm sorry, I should have never yelled at you and made it seem as if I was on Johns side" Ava said and miles winced as she added pressure "sorry, gotta make sure it stops bleeding" she said and nodded

"I got expelled because I hurt someone" miles said and Ava looked him in his eyes "how bad?" She asked "bad enough to get me expelled" he said and Ava sighed

"Say something, please" miles said "I have nothing to say, miles" Ava said while she took the towel of his eyebrow to see that it was slightly done bleeding

She put 2 wound close strips on it and moved on to the lips

He winced softly still earning a "sorry" from Ava

"You probably think I'm the same miles, but I'm trying to change" miles said and Ava smiled "I know, miles, I can tell" she said while smiling and she grabbed his hand "we need to get you some ice for your lip" she said and he nodded and stood up and they walked out of the room

They walked downstairs and entered the kitchen still hand in hand

Miles sat on the chair while Ava went to her fridge and saw a note

I went to the ice cream shop with flora

Ava then got the ice and a zip lock bag and put the ice in it

She walked over to miles and handed him the bag

"Thanks, for all of this" he said and she nodded "it's no problem, also flora and nic went to get ice cream" Ava said and miles nodded

"Miles" Ava said and he looked at her "yes?" He said "please stay this way, when we leave back to yours" she said and he smiled "you're really coming?" He asked and she laughed lightly "Yea, I can't lie to you" she said

"Why are you nice to me, you gave me too many chances" Miles said "I can't seem to get away from you, and it's not because we're in the same house, you just attract me" she said while looking at the ground and then looking
to miles

"I'm trying my best, the voices aren't here, but what if they just click one day" he said "I won't let them click miles, I like this miles" she said and he smiled "see, that smile, I barely see you smile, so it attracts me more" she explained truthfully

"When school starts what school are you planning to go to?" Ava asked changing the subject and he shrugged his shoulders "some other private boarding school that's I'll get sent off to" he said and Ava frowned "you should come to Roane high" she said and he shook his head "I don't do public schools, I hate them, the girls there-no" he said and Ava laughed

"Then maybe I'll consider going to a boarding school with you" she said and miles shook his head "you're gonna miss wearing what you want, it's all uniforms" he said "how would you know? You don't even know what school you're going to" she said "I just know" he said and she shook her head

"So what's gonna happen for now?" Ava asked "life" he said and she rolled her eyes "well obviously" she said and he shook his head "life goes on, but it could end, Ava" he said and she nodded "I know-I just-nothing" she said and looked down

Then miles placed the ice pack back on his lip

The front door opened revealing flora and Nicole

"Hey we brought ice cream for you guys" Nicole said while handing Ava her cookie and cream ice and miles vanilla "also sorry for the plain original flavor, I just didn't know what to get you, miles" Nicole said "it's fine, thanks" he said while licking his ice cream

"I have bad news and good news" Nicole said while gaining everyone's attention "what's the bad news?" Miles asked "ok so, bad news is that we have to head back yours earlier than planned, good news is that we found flora a new babysitter that's willing to take care of Flora and of course you too, Miles" she said

Miles and Ava made eye contact

"So doesn't that mean we'll continue are life, at-at home?" Ava asked and she nodded "yea, you can finish your summer" Nicole said and Ava eyes widened "wait-we have to leave miles and flora?" Ava asked "yes, what don't you understand?-no offense" Nicole said "no offense was never taken" miles said while looking down at the floor

He couldn't even eat his ice cream anymore "when do we leave?" Ava asked "today, the lady is coming tomorrow" Nicole said and Ava shook her head

"We can't just leave them with some random lady" Ava said "that's exactly what ms grose did-again no offense" Nicole said and miles didn't even want to talk at this point

Ava didn't know how to feel, she wanted to continue her summer, but then again she wanted miles and flora in her life

At this point she was stuck and she didn't know what to do or how to stop all of this

"Can't you still just watch them-well flora" Ava said "I have to work, just because I don't have school doesn't mean I don't have to do anything when schools back in" Nicole said "this is work" Ava said "not paid work, Ava you were just complaining about how you wanted me to get a house, I have to get paid first" she said and Ava shook her head not wanting the tears from her eye to fall

She been crying to much, she felt like a annoying baby that couldn't stop crying even if it got what it wanted

Ava was stuck, she was feeling too many emotions at once

And so was miles
