Miles walked up to Ava during passing period, he was nervous, but how else was he gonna get close to the girl
How was he gonna prove that he was good enough if he didn't even talk to her
"Hey, Ava" miles said making Ava turn from her locker "oh, hey, miles" Ava smiled "how's your day so far?" He asked "pretty good, what about yours?" She asked "honestly, good, Macey hasn't spoken to me-it couldn't have gotten any better" miles said "that's great to hear" Ava said
"Yea, so I was thinking at lunch, we could sit next to each other and talk-I mean you don't have to, because that girl" miles said "oh, Bella? She isn't here today-doctors appointment and she was too lazy to come afterwards, but of course" Ava said and miles smiled "so I'll see you next period?" Miles said "of course" Ava said and the bell rung "let's not be more late, so see you soon" Ava said and miles nodded
He watched as the girl speed walked to her class making him smile
He loved how she was so happy and confident
He walked to his class sitting down in the back while thinking of Ava
Ava sat down in the back and she pulled out her phone and started texting Bella
Ava: holy shit Bella it's happening
Belllsss🔔: what's happening?
Ava: miles is wanting to hang with me at lunch and im nervous
Belllsss🔔: but lunch isn't in 56 minutes
Ava: but what exactly would we talk about?
Belllsss🔔: Idk just start a fun conversation
Ava: do u know how nervous ill be!?
Belllsss🔔: it miles...u talked to him before
Ava: fine when I'm freaking out I'll do the bathroom thing and text you, so be in a watch
Belllsss🔔: okkk
Ava put her phone away mentally celebrating that she didn't get caught
She paid attention to the lesson while sort of gazing off looking out at the blue sky filled with clouds
Soon the bell rang making Ava instantly get up and walk out of class
We walked to the lunch room and stood in line
"Ava" she heard and she turned around to see miles "I have you get my food silly" she said with a laugh "too late" miles said while holding up in-n-out
"How-where?" Ava said "this thing called Uber eats on Kai's phone, he let me use it and he said all girl love this food place so I trusted him" miles said and Ava smiled "miles, you know you don't have to do all this?" Ava asked
"Yes, I know but I'll do anything to get you in your good side" miles said "what do you mean? You're already on my good side" Ava said "I know, but what I mean is...get closer" he said and Ava sat next to him"didn't you get out of relationship like what? 3 days ago?" Ava said and miles playfully rolled his eyes "it's was actually 4 weeks ago" miles said (tbh I don't remember)
"Ok fine, I'll maybe consider getting closer to you, I love you, Fairchild, but we're taking our time" she said and he nodded while intertwining there fingers "now were best friends" he said and she laughed "I can't replace Bella" she said and miles sighed "Bella needs to share and plus I'm a boy, Bella is nothing like me" miles said and Ava nodded
