Narrator pov

Ava woke up the next day feeling horrible

It was only 7:48am

She set an alarm to 7:30am but she laid in bed for a little

She hates getting up early, but she wanted to get flora, she didn't want to lie to the little girl

It would only make her feel worse than she already does

So she got up lazily

And walked to her bathroom

She took a quick shower, washed her hair and washed up

Once she was finished getting ready it was 8:37am

She was ready to leave but she got stopped by her sister

"Why are you leaving so early?" Nicole asked "flora really wanted to leave with me yesterday so I told her I would pick her up early the next day...she's like traumatized from something" Ava explained "what happened?" Nicole asked and Ava check the time

8:40am

Time was going by super fast

"I have to leave, I'll explain when I get back" she said earning a nod from her sister

Nicole was going to work today, so she wouldn't be able to know until late at night

Ava walked down the stairs and grabbed a bottle of water from the kitchen along with a bag of chips, not the brightest thing to eat in the morning but it's what she could get

She then got into her car and started it

Letting the radio play, she didn't have time to plug in the aux, she wanted to get to flora

She then begun the 2 hour drive

Ava drove down the driveway seeing the house more clear

She didn't want to face miles, but she had to it was the best for her, she couldn't just take flora then leave, she had to at least say goodbye and tell if flora didn't

Soon she stopped waiting for the gate to open

It opened letting her pull in

Flora was looking out of the window, like always now

She saw avas car and instantly started running out of her room

"Where are you going?" Macey asked "MOMMYS HERE!" Flora asked making Macey furrow her eyebrows

Macey walked into miles' room to see him on his guitar doing riffs

"Miles, I thought your parents past away" Macey said and miles looked up "what?" Miles said confused "flora yelled mommy's here, who's 'mommy'?" Macey asked and miles sighed while throwing his head back

"Avas here" he said

Ava drove up to the house seeing flora open the door and run out

Ava stopped and put her car in park, she then turned off her car and opened the door

Flora ran to her and jumped into her arms "mommy" flora said and Ava heart started pounding, she didn't expect flora to still call her mommy

"I told you I'd come early" Ava said and flora smiled and Ava put her down

"Do you have some clothes?" Ava asked and flora shook her head "no, Macey didn't pack them" flora said making Ava sigh being angry at Macey already

"I'm sorry" flora said and Ava shook her head "no, it's not you, flora" Ava said and she grabbed her hand and walked towards the house

Once they entered Ava closed the door behind them and they started heading upstairs

"We're gonna pack some clothes, then we'll tell Miles and Macey that we're leaving" Ava explained making Flora nod

"Can we bring my dolls?" Flora asked "of course" Ava said while walking into floras room

Ava soon started packing clothes while Flora talked about her dolls

Once she was all packed she told flora that they were ready to go

Flora then popped up excited to leave

Once they walked out they headed downstairs to see Miles and Macey

Ava then grew nervous

"So were you ever gonna tell us that you were taking flora?" Macey asked "actually yes, right after I put her and her things into my car, why does it bother you? It's not like you cared about her before I came" Ava quickly snapped and Macey got quiet for a second

"oh, I care..why wouldn't I care for my boyfriends little sister" she said with a smirk "give me a break, Flora even admitted to me that you didn't care, but I'm going to end this conversation and gladly leave with flora" Ava said

"You don't have the permission to" Macey said "it's not up to you, it's up to miles, and to me it seems like he's pretty mute right now" Ava said

The 2 girls both looked at miles

"She can go, I mean it's really up to flora" miles said not really knowing what to say

"Seriously miles? She's 7, she can't make her own decisions" Macey said

"Yes she could, and her decision was to go with me, so I'll be on my way" Ava said and staring walked with flora again

Miles couldn't help but to look at Ava

He felt bad for lying, he just forgot about Macey, Ava made miles forget about all his worries

He truly missed her, but he made his decision, and that was to be with Macey

He was now regretting it, if Macey couldn't get along or talk to flora that was one point off for miles

Ava in fact had everything miles wanted in a girl, and the fact that she was able to talk to flora and keep flora happy was amazing to him

He was regretting everything right now

Soon Ava pulled off with her eyes watering

It was like miles fully changed, he had no expression

He was not acting like himself and it scared Ava

She then started driving down the driveway making flora grow scared again

"Mommy, I don't want to die, please stop" flora cried and Ava put one hand to the back to grab floras hand "we won't die, flor" she said and she stopped the car in front of the gate

It soon opened

"See we didn't die, okay?" Ava said and flora nodded while sniffling

"want ice cream?" Ava asked and flora nodded "yes" she said

"Okay, can you tell me more about Miles and Macey?" Ava asked

She was gonna find out what was going in between the two....
