Narrator pov

Ava walked in the halls searching for miles

She was excited to tell miles about them moving, but she was also nervous

She didn't know how he was gonna feel or react, but she prayed it was going to be a good reaction

She knew he might be late, he lives 2 hours away from town, so of course he might be

Ava sighed knowing she was going have to find him during passing period after 1st period

But on the bright side she still got to tell him the news

Ava looked at the clock as it almost hit 10:05am

She was waiting for that bell to ring knowing she only had 5 minutes

And 5 minutes seems like a good amount of time, but it zoomed by quickly

She watch as the long hand landed on the 1

The bell rung making her get up and putting her things in her backpack and she headed out ignoring the teacher trying to understand the homework; she'll call a friend or figure it out

She walked around looking for a head of curly hair

She looked around to spot him at his locker

She sighed in relief and walked up to him

"Hey" she said while standing next to him

"Hey" he said while looking at her and she saw the bags in his eyes

"Are you okay? Did you not sleep? Are you sick?" Ava said while grabbing his face and switching it side to side to observe all of his face and felt his forehead making him laugh

"No, im fine- I just stayed up all night doing homework" he said and she nodded "promise? I don't want to keep secret" Ava said "I promise, Ava" he said with a true smile and she smiled

"Ok we have 2 minutes-so nic got an apartment in Los Angeles-3 bedroom-and she said that you and Flora were going to live with her if you wanted to, and I'm going and I really want you and flora to go" Ava said and miles eyes widened "wait-when?" He asked "we don't know exactly, but we're packing and nic wanted to know so she can buy tickets soon" Ava said and miles looked to the ground

He wanted to leave, and even better get rid on quint, he needed this

"Yea, I wanna go-me and flora will start packing today" he said and the bell rang "ok, I'm so excited, I'll see you at lunch" Ava said while walking away and miles nodded

He was happy, too excited

And so was Ava

Ava got in class and she sat next to Bella and her excited happy feeling instantly dropped from her

It was like she had a happy spirit that went right out, like it was ripped out of her

"Bells, I have sad news for you" she said and Bella looked at her "I'm moving to Los Angeles soon" Ava said and it didn't feel real, she didn't think about this part

Bella looked at her "swear?" She said "I swear...I'm sorry if you're mad" ava said and Bella shook her head "I'm not mad, I'm sad...but why so suddenly?" Bella asked "Nic and I have been talked about this over the summer, but I didn't think she would get her apartment so soon, I was happy but now I remember I have to leave you" Ava said and Bella smiled

"At least you're living your life the way you want, I can always text, call, and FaceTime" Bella said "yea, I know" Ava said "but it won't be the same" Ava added "Yea, it won't but it'll get better and we'll both get used to it" Bella said "and I could visit, on holidays and I could come over" Ava said and Bella nodded

"See? It's always a good way that defeats the bad way" Bella said and Ava nodded "I gues you're right" Ava said and they fished bumped and laughed

"Ava and Bella, would you like to share your joke?" The teacher asked "no, but I would like for you to continue your lesson" Bella said and Ava nudged the girl "stop it" Ava whispered

Bella was always the feisty one, Ava could be feisty but she wasn't towards teachers even when she wanted to be

The 2 girls balanced each other and it was perfect

It was sad this the friendship they had was going to be ruined by splitting up and having different time zones

But they made sure they were going to always stick together
