Your P.O.V:

"Brandon, when have I ever lied to you? The two of you will hit it off. I'm sure of it." I told Brandon, my best friend, the two of us sat down together. We were having a party and  I had agreed to set up Brandon with one of my friends.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm a little bit nervous." He admitted. "What if they don't like me?" You looked at him, slightly shocked. "Don't be ridiculous. It's hard not to like you, and anyone that doesn't is stupid."

"Likewise." He replied, smiling at me and taking a sip of his drink as we watched everyone else at the party, waiting in anticipation for my friend to arrive. I'm not going to lie, I was nervous too. Not necessarily for Brandon because I knew that as per usual, he was going to be great. I was more nervous that they were actually going to hit it off. Don't get me wrong, I really want Brandon to be happy, but it's hard because I know that I'm not the one that he's going to be happy with. I know it's selfish, which is why I've had to try and push them aside, and set Brandon up to give him a shot at being happy.

I looked up to see that my friend walk in. "There's (Y/F/n)." I said, standing up, grabbing Brandon and dragging him through the crowd of people. (Y/F/n) pulled you into a hug, before you introduced Brandon. "(Y/F/n), this is my best friend Brandon." They greeted one another before I decided to leave them to it; I didn't want to focus on it. I headed over to the other side of the room. When I did happen to glance over, Brandon was looking straight at me. I smiled and he smiled back at me before turning back around to face (Y/F/n), who was talking to him.

Brandon's P.O.V:

"Is everything okay, Brandon?" (Y/F/n) asked me as I turned back.

"Yeah, of course. Why do you ask that?" I asked, taking a big sip of my drink.

"Well," (Y/F/n) replied. "It's just that your eyes have been wondering all over the room for quite some time." (Y/F/n)'s eyes, followed where mine had gone and they landed on one specific person; (Y/n). "Brandon?" (Y/F/n) said.

"Yeah?" I smiled

"Can I ask you a question?" (Y/F/n) said this awkwardly.

"Sure." I replied.

"Do you love (Y/n)?"

I smiled at the question; at the sound of (Y/n)'s name. "Of course I do." I said, honestly. "(Y/n)'s my best friend, and has been for as long as I can remember." (Y/F/n)'s head shook in response to my reply.  "No, What I mean is, are you in love with (Y/n)?" I stopped and looked silently at (Y/F/n) before I turned back to look at (Y/n).  As I saw her across the room, I couldn't help but smile. I didn't say anything to (Y/F/n); I just smiled. Surprisingly (Y/F/n) smiled back. "It was very nice to meet you Brandon" (Y/F/n) told me as she placed the cup down on the table. "You should go and get (Y/n)." There was a pause. "Whenever, I'm with (Y/n), you are all I ever hear about, Brandon."

"Really?"

"Yes. Honestly, I think you two are meant to be together." (Y/F/n) smiled. "So, go, admit your feelings before it's too late." (Y/F/n) walked away into the crowd of people.

I took a deep breath, as I walked over to (Y/n).

Your P.O.V:

I was refilling my drink when Brandon approached me without (Y/F/n). "Hey (Y/n)." He smiled. "Can I talk to you outside?" He asked; I couldn't help but notice that he seemed a little bit nervous. "Sure." I replied, following him outside into the garden. The air was cool, but it wasn't cold; it was the perfect temperature. "Is everything alright?" I asked. "Where's (Y/F/n)?"

"(Y/F/n) left." He replied, turning to fully face me.

"Why? What happened?"

He gave me a small smile. "You happened." He said, taking a step closer to me. "It's you that I want (Y/n)." He admitted. "Brandon..."I whispered as his arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him. Without saying another word, he kissed me. The kiss itself last for a few moments before we pulled away and smiled at one another.

"I don't know about you." Brandon began. "But I'd really like to give this a go."

"I'd like that too." I admitted, as he kissed me again.
