Chapter 21: Lodicakes

Deanna's POV

It's 1:45 PM and we just finished eating our lunch. I'm currently using my laptop getting ready for tomorrow cause I have a report with ponggay, syempre siya na yung pinili kong partner.

"Deans this topic is mine ha" pongs said.

"Okay" I replied and then I continued studying my topic.

"Deans have you noticed something about kay Kath?" pongs asked me out of nowhere.

"Wala naman, why? What's up with her?" I asked ponggay.

"Really? Wala?" ponggay said.

"Wala nga" sabi ko.

"Ano ba yan Deans you're too numb talaga" pong replied.

"Why? Ba't naman ako naging numb?" I asked her.

"Can't you see it? Kath likes you kaya" ponggay said.

"Huh?" sabi ko while typing.

"Hindi mo ba talaga feel?" pongs asked me and tumingin lang ako sa kanya saglit then nagtype na ulit ako sa laptop ko.

"Diba nga when Ma'am Sabar said na choose your partner sa reporting natin ikaw yung pinili niya" pongs added.

"Oh?" I replied.

"She talked to me several times kaya to switch partners para maging partner kayo" sabi ni pongs.

"So what?" I told her.

"Tsaka remember? She always greet you congratulations when we win our games pero hindi naman niya sakin yun ginagawa" pongs said pero hindi ako nagreply.

"Tapos she always ask you if you're available after our class diba? Hangout daw kayo" sabi ulit niya.

"She just wants me to be her friend Pongs no big deal" I replied without looking at ponggay.

"Whatever Deans basta sinabihan na kita ha" sabi niya and then I look at her lang as a response.

"We're going to buy coffee gusto niyo ba sumama?" jules asked us.

"We're studying eh" sabi ko.

"Yeah we are, can you buy me Americano nalang?" pongs said.

"Okay, byeeeeee" jules said and then left the dorm with dani and ate bei.

.....

"Deans until 11 PM only ha may classes na bukas" ate mads said nagpaalam na kasi ako na aalis ako.

"Yes Ate Mads" I said and then I left the dorm na. I got in my car and I texted jema first before I started my car.

I decided to maka a stop sa Coco to buy some milktea for Jema before heading to their training. When I arrived at the Upper Deck pumunta agad ako sa court to watch their practice kahit patapos na. I immediately saw Jema doing some lapses and then she saw me din tapos she smiled at me. I sat on the bench beside the court to watch them. Coach Tai is training them hard and I'm glad na nakaka sabay si Jema sa system niya kahit na she's not familiar with it. I watched them play for almost an hour pa before sila pinacool down ng coaches nila, lumapit agad si jema sakin after nilang magcool down.

"Hi B" jema said smiling.

"Hi din B, this is for you kaso lang natunaw na ata yung ice eh" I told her then binigay ko sa kanya yung panda milktea niya she told me kasi na it's her favorite.

"Awwwwww thank you B" jema replied and then kinuha niya na yung milktea niya.

"You're welcome B, hala you're sweaty pa" I told her and then I grabbed her towel para punasan yung face niya na puno pa rin ng pawis.
