Deanna's POV
It's Tuesday today and we just finished our night training for our game tomorrow against Banko Perlas for the Semi-Finals of the Open Conference. The Preliminary Round in the PVL is already done and luckily we are able to make it to the top 4 teams who will go to the next round.
We finished the Preliminary Round with a record of 11 wins and 3 loses and we ranked 3rd in the standings. Of course yung Creamline yung 1st and they were followed by the Banko Perlas as 2nd. In our previous matches against Banko we never got to defeat them kaya our 2 loses in the Preliminary Round came from their team. Banko is composed of Veteran players kasi like Ate Jem, Ate Dzi, etc. so siguro ayun yung lamang nila samin kasi their team is full of experiences na.
"Let's go Deans? Balik na tayong dorm" ate bei asked me.
"Uhm hindi pa ko uuwi ng dorm Ate Bei eh, I have to meet Mafe pa for my surprise eh" I answered.
Yes I will suprise Jema for her 22nd birthday and bukas na yun. I already told her na I can't meet her tomorrow kasi may classes ako and we also have a game. Of course palusot ko lang yun sa kanya, I don't really have a morning class before our game hahaha. She said that it was okay naman to her kasi mas importante naman daw yung classes and games ko, tsaka we can celebrate naman daw after her birthday. Obviously alam ko namang nagtampo na agad siya sakin nung sinabi ko yun, pero I have to eh para hindi niya mahalata yung surprise ko syempre.
"Ai oo nga pala, it's Jema's birthday na tomorrow diba?" ate bei replied and then I nodded my head.
"So how's your plan? Complete na ba?" pongs asked me naman.
"Yeah, I just have to prepare it tomorrow sa apartment niya" I said.
"Are you sure you don't need our help Deans? Wala naman kaming class bukas so we can really help you prepare" ate bei said.
"Thanks Ate Bei but I think I can handle this with myself na, tsaka baka mas mahalata pa ni Jema kapag sinama ko kayo eh" I replied.
"Sige Deans, but if ever you need our help ha we're willing to help you" ate bei responded.
"Thanks Ate Bei, sige I'll go ahead na para makauwi rin ako sa dorm ng maaga" I said.
"Okay Deans, drive safely" ate bei said.
"Uhm Pongs can you bring my gym bag to our room na rin? Sasabay ka naman kay Ate Bei right?" I said to pongs.
"Sure Deans" she replied tapos I gave her my bag and then I left the Blue Eagle Gym na.
I entered my car to drive to UST to meet Mafe, dun kasi siya nagpapasundo eh may training din daw sila.
Maya maya I arrived at their gym na rin. I parked my car tapos I waited sa labas para abangan si Mafe.
"Oi Ate Deans" someone called me kaya napatalikod ako.
"Oh ikaw pala Donna, Hello" I said tapos I smiled at her.
"Hinihintay mo si Mafe diba?" she asked me tapos I nodded.
"Yeah, tapos na ba training niyo?" I replied.
"Oo Ate kakatapos lang, wait lang daw sabi niya nagpapalit pa kasi siya ng shirt niya eh" donna said.
"Ahhh okay, sige I'll just wait for her here" sabi ko.
"Sige Ate Deans mauna na ko ha, ingat kayo" sabi ulit ni donna.
"Thanks Donna, ikaw rin take care" I said to her tapos she started walking na.
"Kapatiiiiiid" mafe called me, kakalabas niya lang ng gym nila.
"Oi kapatid, ano let's go have dinner na?" I replied to her smiling. Yes 'Kapatid' na yung tawagan namin ni Mafe hahaha.
