I eventually closed my eyes out of pure exhaustion, falling asleep. My sobbing breaths quietened down and my running nose stopped running, my pounding heart calmed down, but the tears kept on comming. I couldn't stop them. I just felt so guilty, so dissappointed in myself, so bad for not being able to trust anybody.

I opened my eyes, feeling a headache sneak it's way into my head. I could just tell that this day is going to be fucking awesome. I got up from bed, stretching my arms and legs before walking over to the closet, changing into a black hoodie and a pair of gray sweatpants. I didn't feel like putting much effort into the way I dressed.

I then walked down into the kitchen, grabbing a glass before walking over to the fridge, filling it up with orange juice. My head continued to hurt as I walked over to the kitchen counter, drinking the orange juice.

"What's up sleepyhead?" I flinched, glarring at Vicky who stood in the doorframe. "Oh, hi, you scared the shit out of me." She just chuckled before walking over to the counter, now standing next to me. "You're going to change into the dress you bought." I just glared at her once again, raising one of my eyebrows at her demanding tone. "I'm not, I'm going to wear it on another occasion." She just sighed, shaking her head. "No, you're going to wear it today." I just sighed before walking out of the kitchen. "Alright, but I'll kill you if it gets dirty." I could just wear it two days in a row. Simple.

I made my way upstairs, walking into the room before changing into the dress and a pair shoes that fit it. I then brushed through my hair and applied a tiny bit of mascara to my lashes. When I was about to exit the room my phone rang, causing me to thank god as it made me not forget my phone. When I saw that it was my mom I smiled before answering.

"Hi mom!" I said as I looked into the phone, seing my mom's happy, yet somewhat sad smile on my screen. "Hi (Y/n), darling. You look stunning, where are you going?" I just smiled at her compliment. "I don't know, I guess I'm doing something special with Kyle and Vicky." She just smiled, nodding. She knew about Vicky, I'd already told her. She wasn't too keen on the idea of us hanging out at first, but she'd accepted it by now. Mom then sighed, causing me to frown slightly.

"What's up?" She just shook her head, apologising. "I'm so sorry (Y/n)..." I tilted my head slightly, waiting for her to continue. "We won't be able to make it in time for your birthday tomorrow." I immediatelly felt my heart sink as well as my stomach to turn slightly. I'd never spent a birtday without my parents, and now when I felt as if I needed them the most I'd have to.

"(Y/n), I really am truly sorry sweatheart, it's just that all flight's are down due to a really bad storm, and we'll have to wait it out. Who knows when we'll be home." I tried my best to give her one of my fake smiles, and I think I succeeded, because she believed me when I said "It's okay, we'll just have to celebrate my birthday when you get back home." as mom nodded, taking a deep breath before swallowing. "However, while we're late I believe that your gift's early..." I looked down at the phone in confusion before flinching as a car honking sound was heard. "Come on, (Y/n), go and check."

I swallowed slightly before making my way down the stairs and outside. The sight made my jaw drop. It was a car. It was a real, legitimate, car. "Happy birthday (Y/n)!" I looked down at the phone, now seeing both of my parents with the widest grins ever. "I-Is it mine?" They both nodded, causing me to give them a somewhat real smile. I was really happy despite the circumstances. "T-Thank you so much!" I then walked over to the car, opening the door before taking a seat. It was really comfortable. "But how'd it get here?" My mom just smiled before speaking. "Vicky drove it to Kyle's house." I looked up from the phone and towards the front door, seing Vic wave at me with the widest grin ever. "T-Thank you so much Mom, Dad. I promise to give both of you the best hugs ever when you get back." My mom just chuckled as my dad spoke. "That's a promise, right?" I just nodded, smiling. "Yes, I promise." They both then looked away from the camera as their names were called. "Look, (Y/n), your mother and I have to go-" I smiled, nodding at them. "I get that, I'll talk to you soon. I miss you a lot." They both nodded, smiling. "And we miss you. Goodbye and happy birthday again birthday girl." I waved them goodbye as they hung up. Leaving me all alone in my new car.

I put my head on the steering wheel, jumping at least 2 meters up in the air when it honked. I just sat there for at least 30 seconds, trying to calm down as Vic jumped into the car, taking the passenger seat next to me. "Calm down, I was on my way-" She then saw the state I was in, realizing that I didn't do it on purpose. She suddenly began to laugh, causing me to chuckle slightly as well. "Anyhow, we're going now." I looked at her, and then back at the house. "Where is Kyle?" She just shrugged before patting my shoulder, causing me to look at her. "Hey, get out, I'm driving." I swallowed, not really feeling in the mood for arguing with her, so I just got out of the car, walking to the other side before getting in.

I swallowed when Vic gave me a pair of blinfolds. "Put these on." She said, and I did. She then began driving, and I had no idea where we were going.
