I've just been studying for the past hours. I didn't feel like leaving my room today either. I honestly don't understand how my classmates are just fine with going outside and getting exposed to the sun as well as waist precious time which can be used for studying. It just doesn't make any kind of sense to me.

"Maybe you would like to study outside today?" a nervous Trevor suggested as he shifted his feet.

Oh, and I have a guardian too. He's supposed to protect me from danger the Dreamers get themselves into. Nina was also pretty insisted on this too. If she really wanted us to be safe, then she and the rest of the Dreamers should take their trivial fights somewhere else.

"Gauthem?" Trevor asked nervously again as he looked up at me, "I know you want to stay in your room and study, but it might be a good idea to get some fresh air in as well! You don't want to have your life flash away by being in here alone, do you?"

He wasn't going to stop nagging me today. I could just feel it. I picked up my notebook and notes as I stood up.

"F-fine. Just for a few minutes only" I told him seriously.

Trevor gasped in shock as he took out a pokeball. He tossed out a giant fox Pokémon as we made our way outside. I sat underneath the shade of a tree as I studied. Trevor was trying to get that Pokémon to be more open with the outside world. I just don't understand why though. The world will turn on without my input, so why I should care about what happens outside of my reach?

"Exactly!" a lady dressed in orange appeared with a strong looking Pokémon, "He's just being naïve! Why would it matter what happens to this world when we should focus on our own lives? It is pointless! Live your life! Let go of this foolish world!"

"Bryony! I thought the International Police arrested you and your team!" Trevor exclaimed as he then noticed darkness coming from her and me.

She then laughed in delight as she pointed out, "They wish! Some of us are a bit crafty, child! Oh, and you took the Delphox with you, I see"

"Of course, I did! She needs to relax and realize that the world is not just dark and skippable!" Trevor exclaimed passionately.

He's really passionate about this belief he has. However, Bryony burst into a fit of laughter as she faced us.

"It is so hilarious! You and your pathetic team did preach that nonsense, but the child you are supposed to protect couldn't care less about this!" she pointed out gleefully.

I mean, she's not wrong. I don't see why I should care about the outside world when I should focus on my studies. Just then, I felt myself grow weak. What's going on with me? I saw darkness growing around her Pokémon as she continued to laugh.

"See?! This is just my luck! I knew I could defeat you and your pathetic friends!" she shouted as she then pointed at his Delphox, "Bisharp use Night Slash!"

Just then, her Pokémon lunged forward and fought with Delphox. Trevor ran behind them as he commanded the Delphox.

"It's ok! Not everyone has to share the same view as we did!" Trevor shouted loudly.

I looked up at him, surprised. I assumed he was going to force his belief onto me. However, he isn't.

"I just don't want him to lose the most important moments in life! Most of those do come from being outside and seeing life happen around you!" Trevor shouted bravely, "I just don't want him to live a life of regret and sadness! I do not wish that on anyone! Friend or foe alike!"

He was only doing that? Helping me live a complete and full life? He didn't have to do that.

"Shut up! As you can clearly see, he's not going to follow your ideals any time soon!" she shouted as she ordered her Bisharp to continue to attack Trevor and his Delphox.

"Maybe not, but I will always be his friend and guardian whenever he needs me there!" he shouted loudly with his voice filled with determination.

I stood up weakly as I was filled with his determination. I may not share his view on the world, but we are still friends and be there for each other. That will never change. I then used all of my strength to defeat the darkness and then knock Bryony on the ground!

"Oh! Whoa! I didn't expect that from you! But, we have our chance now! Delphox use Mystical Fire!" Trevor shouted loudly as Delphox drew her stick to cast a powerful ring of fire and defeat the Bisharp in on attack!

Bryony yelled in frustration as she shoved me off her. She then returned her Bisharp as she tried to find a way to escape. Of course, Delphox held her in place with a strong psychic hold. She wasn't going away any time soon.

"I'll call the International Police. Bryony, you're finally finished!" Trevor stated with a satisfied grin on his face.

After a few moments of waiting, the International Police did come and arrest her.

"Thank you for your help, young Trevor!" a very loud Looker shouted with pride.

"It was nothing" Trevor admitted bashfully, "In fact, it wasn't just us. It was also Gauthem who helped as well"

I just smiled and waved at him. Looker nodded his head as he then left us with Bryony.

"I hope you two will continue your studies. Best of luck" he said as he then departed from us.

Trevor and I sat down as Delphox sat behind us.

"You're studying?" I asked him surprised.

"Oh, yeah! I want to be the next professor in my region. I want to help others learn about the wonders of life and enjoy it without regret" Trevor confessed to me.

"Interesting dream. I hope you will achieve it one day" I told him with a nod.

"Thank you! I hope you will achieve your dream of taking over your dad's company" Trevor said with encouragement in his voice.

We both shook hands and vowed to achieve our dreams. After I graduated, Trevor and I saw each other less and less. It wasn't too bad though. The two of us worked hard, clung to our beliefs, and each achieved our respective dreams. Now, I was off to have a cup of coffee with him after a long day at work. This is the life for us both that we wanted and now have. Thank you for always being my friend.
