Brennen's phone call interrupts my nice nap on the couch. I grab my phone from the coffee table, scratching my head, eyes slowly adjusting to the screen. "Yeah?"

"It's crazy here. Get your ass out here."

"Where the fuck are you?" My eyes panned the scenery at the bar he was at. A blur of woman and music roaring made it hard to hear.

"Iconic. And dude the girls are on another level tonight."

I shot forward. "Wait go back."

"What? See something you like?"

"The girl in the gold jacket. Go back to her." Holy fuck, Sage was there. In the flesh. The girl I'd been texting for a week now was right there. The camera came to a stop. Sage's smile lit up the club. She bounced around to the music with a dark-haired girl glued to her side.

Brennen's ugly fucking mug came back into view. "It's even better in person. Get down here."

I scrubbed a hand over my face. "Brennen. Do me a favor."

"Anything."

"Go up to the girl in the gold jacket and ask her what her name is for me please."

"I'm on it." The club floor whirred past, heels and sneakers. "Hey pretty girl in the gold jacket. What's your name?"

The sea of legs was my only view, but it didn't matter. I just wanted to hear her say it.

"Sage. That's a beautiful name. You from around here?"

Motherfucker. Was he hitting on her? I dropped back against the couch, shaking my head. If Brennen bagged Sage, I would give up on dating. I would never leave the house looking for another chick again if Brennen could land Sage. And this wasn't me being an asshole. Brennen got a lot of ass. He was a big meathead, but I didn't want his paws on my potential ass.

"Fuck!" I paced the room. I couldn't just go in the bar; she'd think I was stalking her. And the minute a bunch of rebel's fans recognized me she would know I lied about what I did for a living.

"Bro, she told me her name was Sage. She wouldn't give me her number. She said she was single though. Girl was smoking hot."

"Yeah. No shit."

"Are you coming out?" Brennen tipped his beer.

"Not tonight, buddy. I need to stay away from trouble for once."
